When we arrived, the host seemed mostly interested in explaining to us the there was a two hour time limit on our visit. They would let us know when 1 1/2 hours had elapsed so that we could finish up. We were finished in about...an hour. Place was half empty at 6pm so not sure why it was so important to make customers feel unwelcome and on the clock. Pizza was just OK. Service - who knows since you fetch your own food and drinks? Probably not returning to this weird place when many better options exist.More
Location location location. And really good pizza. The views of Manhattan from the rooftop seating at sunset were breathtaking. And the pizza was really good, too. If you're looking for a fun, casual spot in Brooklyn to dine, this place would be a solid choice.
Great little rooftop diner overlooking lower Manhattan serving great pizza. You can’t book as its just a bench set up so it does get busy but it is great and has an awesome relaxed vibe. We went for sunset over Manhattan. Would have expected a...pizza place like this to have a cheaper bottle of wine on the menu than USD40 but very good otherwise and the pizzas were really amazing! Its not table service you have to order at the bar or the pizza oven but once ordered food came quickly,. Would defo return and recommend to others.More
Took my cousins to the park in the area (great slides, swings, etc). We all stopped at Fornino's for a quick lunch before heading on the John Harvey fireboat (FREE and highly recommend - reserve tickets in advance or walk up to see if they...can get you on). Lunch consisted of great beers on tap, fresh made to order pizza and prepared salads which were surprisingly delicious. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. Sand volleyball courts behind the restaurant (unclear if they are open to public or reserved for leagues). Great place to spend the day/afternoon!More
Stepped off the ferry from governers island ferry and found Fornino rooftop immediately. Amazing lunchtime sandwich and beer with views to downtown and the wtc. Brooklyn Bridge Park has changed this area so much it's vibrant, clean with stunning views back to to downtown manhattan....Very goodMore
We stopped in for a bite after the sprinkler park, we ate outside under the umbrellas. The sandwich was good but too much bread and not enough meat/cheese on the inside. Didn’t order any pizza but looked delicious.
Didn’t go to the roof, was about...90 degrees and extremely humid.More
