Was so excited to come to Milk Bar. So, I have to say having their cookies in sealed plastic bags was a bit off putting. The Compost cookie was the best of the ones we tried. The slice of birthday cake was super sweet and...a bit dry. The cereal milk ice cream was AMAZING. The Milk Bar pie was our other favorite. We did go to the one across the street from Momofuku Saam bar a couple days later and got more pie!More

After hearing about this pie formally known as crack pie I had to see what the hype was about for $6 I got a paper bag with what was the smallest slice of pie I’d ever seen I’m sure the expression on my face showed...how disappointed I was . It was ok but not enough to make me want to go back ( I still like the name crack pie ) my kids ordered shakes and cereal milk ice cream.. more miniature food and big disappointment for the $25 I spent I could’ve went up the block and got a dozen Italian pastries and good old fashioned custard with change to spare . Sorry Milk Bar your pie was not enough to Satisfy my addictionMore

I bake better myself. Everything is too sweet. The vanilla is a cheap vanilla flavour and the coffee too hot.

This is a fine location of Milk Bar. You can get all your favs there: compost cookies, cake balls, crack pie, etc. One thing I wish Milk Bar just did in general is sell slices of those decadent amazing cakes. I have always wanted to...try them but never did because I’d have to buy the whole cake. I would be in there all the time if I could buy a slice of those cakes. I know the cake balls are similar but sometimes you just crave a slice of cake and man I would like to satiate that craving.More

I finally got to taste the famous Crack Pie and it was every bit as good as I imagined. Yes it's sweet and rich but since it's an occasional treat, who cares?! I also tried the corn cookie which was flavorful and reminded me of...something someones great grandmother used to make.More

Stopped by Milk Bar for a sweet treat while waiting for our table at Lucali. We had the cereal milk soft serve topped with caramelized corn flakes (which were my favorite part). We also had a slice of crack pie which was prepackaged in a...little box. The prices were reasonable considering the price of desserts in NY - 5 for the soft serve and $6 for the pie. We were excited to try it after seeing Christina Tosi on our favorite show, Chef’s Table. Her story is extremely inspiring and her vision for sweets and ability to create interesting flavor combinations is admirable. Only wish there were more cereal flavored soft serve types available! Imagine Cocoa Puffs? Honey Comb?!? I was glad we got to visit!More

The Crack Pie was good, but by the time you pay $80 for a pie and shipping it needs to be like ambrosia on your tongue. I’d rate it on par with a Village Inn pie. It’s still good but very over rated at its...price. Do yourself a favor and find a local bakery and you’ll be just as happy and $75 richer.More

I paid $95 to take a Saturday class here to learn how to make their birthday cakes. They didn't teach anything. In my opinion, nothing more than hype and a rip-off. I should have know when the first thing they make you do is sign...a release. The cake, frosting, "crumbles (they taste awful by the way) are already made. Basically, they show you how to frost the cake/put it together, which you could learn in 3-5 minutes, you certainly don't need 2 hours. There were 30 people in the class - much to big for any real instruction. The women giving the class must have been former kindergarten teachers because that's the level of the mentality of the class. The other lesson was how to make their truffles - you take cake scraps mush them up with vanilla flavored milk, roll them into balls, dip them in melted white chocolate (they didn't show you how to melt anything - it was already done) and roll them in sprinkles. The dry, dense cakes were so cloyingly sweet I left mine there because I couldn't think of anyone who would actually eat it. Don't waste your time or money unless you want to take a couple of little kids who like to play with food - they would probably enjoy it.More

If you’ve ever accidentally spooned a load of salt onto your cornflakes thinking it was sugar. Then you already know what this tastes like.
