This restautant has been in existance since 1880's and has best NY Steak Restaurant for 28 years! So they know what they are doing. Only a limited selection on the menu, but it is so good you do not need more. GREAT steaks, well cooked and melt in the mouth taste and flavour. The serves are very generous. Our waiter... More

This is a classic old-school restaurant. No frills at all - just excellent steak accompanied by basic sides and some sauce. They don't even have tablecloths or placemats! When I say basic sides I mean basic - we ordered tomatoes and onion and that's what we got: a plate containing one sliced tomato and one sliced onion - they did... More

This restaurant has the best steak I've ever eaten...I had heard many great things about it, and surely enough, this steakhouse lived up to its reputation. The vegetables were also delicious, especially the cream of spinach, and the desserts were phenomenal as well. Yes, it is pricey, but 100% well worth the most spent. The service is excellent and I... Definitely the best steak I have ever eaten in my life! Service was top notch. Food was off the chart. Had to wait for more than 30 mins but it is definitely worth it. It is a little bit out of the way from Manhattan but definitely worth the travel. Will definitely come back for more!

This is my opinion and I have been to many in the US and Europe. If you are in NYC and you want the best steak you can have take a taxi or private car to Brooklyn and get ready to have the steak of your life but remember to bring cash,US check or have someone in your group with... More

This is a great place to go to eat a great steak. They are the oldest steakhouse in NYC. They have a great menu and great atmosphere to eat in . They do not take credit cards except their own, so bring enough cash to pay the bill. It will be a place that you will remember and talk about.

We have been going for years. Yes it's a hassle to make a reservation and all of them are on the :45. Steaks can't be beat. Order the bacon slice as a first course along with the tomato salad and shrimp cocktail. Then steak for 2 or 3 or 4 with high fat, high flavor sides. Still one of the... More

The most over priced steak I have ever eaten. The sauce is awful, the vegetable was tasteless. Cold bread is not very good. The salmon was bland and tough. I went to another high end restaurant in NYC for the same price but the food was excellent. Another drawback is Peter Luger only takes cash. Dallas, Texas by far has... More

We were at first hesitant to make a reservation after reading all the bad feedback but everyone said lets go for it. We only waited for about 15 minutes and we were given a table. We were 5 in our group. Our servant, Karl, was great. We ordered medium rare steak and it was the best. Unlimited bread and butter.... More

First heard of Peter Lugers about 20 years ago. About 12 years ago talking to my son inlaw who had been there I got the hankering to go. Many times we tried to get there with my wife and daughter. It never transpired. Final my son inlaw and I said we would go for lunch without the women. WOW it... More
