Love this place! Great Kabob's, their meats and fish are very fresh and grilled to order. Love their sahara said with shredded Feta and the hummus, very good! I stay away from bread unless I'm at this restaurant, baked on premise and served hot and fresh! And the liver (which I never order or eat often) is amazingly delicious!

I just love this place! I have been at Sahara's as a take out meal and sit in. We are always seated quickly, (lots of room) My Favorites are the shepherds salad with cheese, grilled lamb chops and grilled Liver. Oh and the bread as you dip it in the shepherds salad is must do! The food is served quickly.... More

Went there for lunch. Very nice setting. Fast Service. Salad, kebob with rice and coffee - also from a drip machine, that was unexpected, - everything was very good. Recommend.

I've been ordering food from here for years when I lived in Brooklyn. I came with my husband for a late lunch and the service was fast and food was as delicious as usual. I wish they would open one in Long Island.

We live not far from this restaurant and have been here numerous times. It used to be my go to place on my way home from the gym. The food has always been on point, although there was once or twice the chicken kabob was on the bland side. They tend to be a little more pricey than other Turkish... More

A restaurant’s longevity says something about its quality—especially when the time period is long. The Sahara restaurant in southern Brooklyn has been at its current location for almost three decades. Its patrons are voting with their feet—and their wallets. No doubt they feel, as I do, well rewarded for their efforts. This is a large mid-range restaurant that I think... More

n the summer, this sprawling Turkish restaurant offers a lovely garden in the rear where you can dine like the luckiest of desert dwellers, under trellises thick with grapevines, surrounded by squash and cucumber plants. But for urban nomads slogging through a New York summer, Sahara offers something even more useful: a thriving takeout business. Those who have lived with intense heat/cold know best that the way to eat is to eliminate complications.
