SUMMARY: - Long Saturday wait time (well over an hour --standing for name to be called) -The Self- serve tables are largely occupied and this venue shows it's wear & tear - The Pizza was fine, but not remarkable (on the oily side) - It is a long commute if you start in Manhattan and head to this locale in... My pizza joint from the neighborhood. Didn't put basil on a pie in 1979. Still good pizza not worth $5 a slice, long wait and NO bathroom. was in town last and had a slice for old time's sake.

As a former New Yorker and living in Miami... One spends a lot of their time in search for that perfect New York "slice" that transport you back home. Everyone and their brother outside of NYC can claim "New York Style" pizza and for a moment your hoping it is but you know it's not even close... Well, when my... More

This place makes a really excellent pie and I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again if I was in the area. I found the crust particularly delicious - very crispy and yummy. The sauce was bright and fresh tasting. The basil was lovely. The sausage was yummy. The wait was pretty long but worth it. The place was reasonably clean... More

This is a small old time pizza restaurant. The slices are small. Regular slices are $5 and square slices are $6 each. The line is long and one can expect a wait of 20 minutes to an hour to get a pizza. The best part is watching the owner make each pie individually. Buffalo mozzarella cheese is used and is... More

You won't get better ingredients or a more personal touch than this. This guy is not in it for the money, this is what he loves to do, & he knocks it out of the park. One of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. If you want a cheap doughy slice go across the street...

This place has been called by some the best pizza in NYC. Now, it is very very good... but not the best. One slice is at least $5, and sometimes an hour+ wait. That is just not worth it. Try Wheated or Franny's instead.

The taste of the pizzas are nice and homely. We were lucky to not be subjected to long queues on a Saturday evening. The place is run down and ought to be cleaner. Seats few people.

We waited an hour for two slices each and now I wish I ordered a whole pie. The pizza crust, sauce, cheese, and spices are all nuanced with a rich and savory flavor that is the essence of what pizza should be. It tastes like a homemade pie - with ingredients that are not sourced from a warehouse. I'm coming... More

The pizza was ok. Its a little thin and over cooked for my taste and loaded with parmasian cheese and oil (im guessing thats there signature flavoring) along with a ton of fresh basil. the pizza was yummy but not wait 35 minutes and pay $30 a pie yummy. The pizzaria itself is in shambles. it looked very dirty and... More
