We ate (4 people) outside. They offered soup and bread for appetizers, which hit the spot on a cool day. They brought out more bread with the entrees.
I had the lamb, which fell off the bone as advertised and was tender, but not extremely flavorful. The rice with vegetable sauce was a unique pairing that I enjoyed.
The staff was friendly. The indoor restaurant has a good vibe of a family owned establishment.

Get anything lamb. The meat falls off the bones and the stews are sooo flavorful! My girlfriends and I go here once every few months. The food is delicious and authentic. We love that they have tea after your meals for you. There aren't that many Yemeni Restaurants around so we cherish this spot alot.

This was my first time having Yemeni cuisine and it was delicious! We first arrived and were greeted with soup and fresh bread when we sat down. We ordered the lamb haneeth and hummus. I loved the lamb but the hummus was just ok for me. We also tried the tea (help yourself!) and harissa (for a charge) which was a real treat! It felt like you were walking down the streets as they had videos of people walking on tvs throughout the restaurant which was a fun new vibe. I was a little annoyed that I ordered while my bf wasn’t at the table and the order didn’t get placed until he was the one asking for it (twice!).

The food was good but the portion was smaller than the Bay Ridge Yemen Cafe.
The 4% credit card surcharge is totally unacceptable. I was so angry I reduced the waiter's tip by an equivalent amount. If others follow me, you will lose your waiter. You have already lost me as a customer.

Enjoyable food, friendly service, familial atmosphere.
We enjoyed our visit to Yemen Café at Brooklyn.
In particular, Lamb Haneeth was delicious.
What on the other side, really irritates me is that the cashier added tip without asking or at least informing me about it. The guy at the counter didn’t mention even when I left tip in cash, on top of it.
I don’t know, how it is in the USA, in Europe, it is more or less criminal, to tamper with the bill without the permission of the guest. It is absolutely unethical if not outright felonious.
If it is not being done by the active consent of the management/owner, this practice must be stopped forthwith.
It was totally unnecessary to spoil otherwise a pleasant trip.

I loved the food here. It was really delicious and the soup was amazing. My favorite dish was the salad. The dressing tasted really good too! I would love to go here again. I wish there was one near me.

Food had no taste and it was over priced for no reason. I actually hyped it up so much because it used to taste so much better and Im embarrassed now because it wasn’t what I expected

Awesome food and excellent service. It has an authentic yemeni atmosphere. The ambience is rustic Yemeni and hence the food is also authentic. We tried their chicken Luboia out was excellent. Their lamb soup that they give complementary was a perfect food for this cold wintery day. It is a very moderately priced with large dish sizes. Bread is free!

Excellent food at affordable prices. You get free tea and bread with your meal. The place feels very authentic and I liked the diner vibe. I loved how well they spiced the food and how friendly everyone seemed, highly recommend and will be back!

We just arrived in Brooklyn and took a yellow cab to our hotel. The driver was from Bosnia, but was also a cook, and he was really enthusiastic about the menu and flavors of the Yemen Cafe, which is near our hotel. We took his advice and went there for dinner, and really loved it!! They have a dozen different kinds of lamb- and I wish we could have tried them all- but we settled on the Lamb Haneeth, which they say is their most popular dish. Our taxi driver told us the servings were large, and this single serving fed both of us generously with some left over. The lamb was fall-off-the-bone tender, and so flavorful, and was served with a larger serving of very flavorful long-grain basmati rice. It was a wonderful meal! And I should mention they bring you a bowl of lamb broth with a huge piece of fresh-baked bread when you sit down- that was a great way to start. And then for dessert we tried a special Yemini dish made of torn up bread, spices, honey and cream. It was delightful. It wasn't quite sweet enough for our taste, so we added a little sugar, but it was really special. And the Yemini iced tea was also very nice. It had a number of spices in it, such as cardamom, cinnamon and others, which made it very tasty. It was a great start to our New York visit, and we must might go back there again before we leave.

I highly recommend this cafe. They greet you with hot soup and fresh pita. The food was excellent. The people were friendly. The price was right. Don't miss out on this gem.

Came here for lunch with my better half after she had told me about this place for so long and I could not have enjoyed it more. The food is delicious; the prices are very adequate and affordable; the quality of the food is amazing and to wrap it up, Yemen Cafe is simply the real deal. Can’t wait to come back here on our next visit. Thank you!

We loved it! Food was absolutely delicious and they kept it coming. Started with a free soup that had a little kick. Then the most amazing giant pizza size pita with crunch and pillow softness too. Had that with tasty baba ghanoush (eggplant spread) that was the best I’ve had as I’m not usually a fan. The lamb dish with a tomatoey sauce was delectable and the most succulent ever. I stuffed myself!
No ambience because it was PACKED! And most people were clearly Muslim and of Arab descent which tells you the food is authentic (also no booze so be aware).
If you like ethnic food, go, you won’t be disappointed.
