About
Opened in 2000, Convivium is a neighborhood restaurant hidden behind antiques filled windows of an old storefront. The inspiration was to bring to the great community of Park Slope a truly authentic old world Italian Osteria, who’s cuisine and wines reflect our love for mother Italy’s hospitality and gastronomic traditions. Considered as one of the most romantic and authentic restaurants in New York, Convivium combines a rustic, yet elegant countryside charm where our patrons feel transported to an Italian out of the way agriturismo.

Made a reservation here for my daughter and I before a concert at Barclays. We were escorted past the small upstairs dining area to the "wine cellar" basement which was very cozy and atmospheric. Service was slow but acceptable, but not so for the party...More

This is a "mom and pop" Italian restaurant with extensive wine selections. It had rustic charm, beautiful that lovely. Such a warm, romantic space for a perfect date! It is a rather small space, but they do have another room downstairs, which can be used...More

My husband and I booked a table here for an early dinner before an event at the Barclays Center. Convivium Osteria is a very charming restaurant with a rustic Italian feel. The street level dining room is small but not crowded. There are more tables...More

This restaurant is so special and yet so mis-managed. It breaks my heart to have such reliably bad service at this cozy place. The environment is very special, like a little trip abroad for every meal. The food is sublime. The wines are exceptional, while...More

Hi Lynn, Very sad to hear you had a bad experience with our staff. If this was Sunday we were understaffed do to an illness and a party that kept growing in size at the last minute. We truly hope that you give us another...More

This is an excellent restaurant. High quality food, and excellent ambiance. I truly recommend the ravioli, and the free range chicken. Deserts are homemade, the chocolate cake is superb and the blueberry one delicious. A great place in Brooklyn, you will not regret it.

Might have been our favourite meal. Super authentic Italian cuisine in a tiny cozy space. Close to Barclay Center if you're heading to a game as well. Kids loved it as did I. The polenta and porcini was outstanding!!

I like the place as I always did. Probably gone more in the direction of Italian now but it's got a decent variety, including Sardinian pasta. Wine list impressive but they actually don't have the most impressive stuff, which was a disappointment. Good service but...More

This small Italian restaurant is really special. The food is outstanding, the service gracious, and the wine list reasonable. The creative menu is perfect for sharing. Three of us shared two appetizers, including their fabulous Roman artichoke, two creative pastas, and the whole fish. We...More

I really don't recall specifically but I don't think they do. But even though I like a martini if I am dining out, this was such a good experience that the next time I am in NYC and in the same area, I am sure I will go back.
