I like Taro, but I wish their waiters stayed home when they had a cold. Unlike this past Monday.
The price vs quality is the right ratio at this place. Lunch specials are grand, but the special-specials even better.
There’s a large amount of sushi restaurants in the Prospect Heights Park slope area but this is my favorite.
Fresh, delicious and simple like it should be. The people are friendly and the place is clean. I’ve eaten my way through the menu and never...been disappointed. The prices are accessible and never seem like they are gouging you like a few others in the neighborhood. My wife and I eat here at least once a week and always bring our friends when they visit because we know we can rely on the place to be a good experience.More
Went with my cousin and although the restaurant is small, we sat at the bar and felt there was plenty of room. We had a sashimi appetizer and it was delicious. We also had a couple of rolls which we shared which were good as...well.More
I'm not a fish lover. I struggle with it but my husband and many friends love sushi. This is the place to eat it! The fish always tastes very fresh. The outside of the restaurant does not smell fishy at all. They offer plenty of...vegetarian (w/o fish) options. I'm told that in the sushi world getting the real fatty tuna is rare, but here it's really good and supposedly the real thing. I think as someone who has difficulty enjoying fish, but does here, that says something so this place is highly recommended by me.More
I was told this place was very good, and wow my friends were not wrong. One of the best sushi meals I have ever had, ever.
We ordered the fried chicken and pork dumpling appetizers, and they were excellent.
Then I had an avocado roll...and the rainbow roll, and the fish seemed to just melt in my mouth. So fresh, so very good.
The restaurant gets crowded, fast (and with food this good, it's no wonder why) so I'd say get here early. We arrived around 5:30 or so, and got a table right away. Within fifteen minutes the place was full.
Excellent service as well.More
Been to other sushi places around and they have the best tuna. It is tender melts in your mouth. The rice is season to perfection and again you can actually taste the freshness. I love, this place. I live near by,and will be back...
