This is authentic Greek food, we usually go there during the summer months and have an assortment of appetizers, sort of like a tapas meal.

The restaurant serves Greek food. There is an outdoor (summertime) and indoor dining area. It is located on Emmons Avenue near the waterfront in Sheepshead Bay, a pleasant place to dine especially in the summertime. The food is average. The service is friendly. It is a modestly priced casual restaurant.

Let me start off by saying the food was good; however, the service sucked so bad it was not even funny. We ordered the flaming cheese and the sample dish which they water explained nothing... He literally was no help to any of the dishes. He did not give suggestions and he couldn't tell us much about the dish. The... More

My wife, daughter, and I recently had lunch at Yiasou. We split their combination tasting appetizer, a plate of calamari and a large greek salad. The food was wonderful and we would heartily recommend all three dishes. Service was ok -- nothing exceptional

It is beyond me, why do so many expensive restaurants these days cut corners when delivering the service? Well, for one I can say Yiasou is not one of them. Not being anywhere close to the middle of the city or the downtown, the restaurant is very well run. The waiting staff is very presentable and attentive, while not being... More

Yiasou has been our go-to place for family gatherings and special occasions (big and small) for years, and they have never let us down. The management and staff are always welcoming, helpful and attentive, and have been especially helpful with our elderly relatives who need special care. We were there this time for my father's 86th birthday (he loves the... More

We were looking for something local, unpretentious, fish, near the water, relaxing, easy parking .. after an intense day in NYC. Bravo! Just right. Comfortable atmosphere, welcoming, reasonable, fresh fish, most pleasant.

We were taken here by our good friends who frequent this place, and rave about it, having never ventured here ourselves even though we live within walking distance. We were seated immediately right if front of the inside of the restaurant as there is also seating outside. The place is exquisitely decorated with hand painted murals everywhere that are framed... Yiasou is a treasure we stumbled upon about 6 years ago while in Brooklyn in business. That random stop made us devotees and we live out of state! This family run business is perfect. Service is immaculate, the food is outstanding. Having been to Greece I was thrilled to find such an authentically welcoming experience. I would recommend any the... More

The food is very good. I was disappointed this visit to see that most of the entrees were close to $30. The fish specialties didn't even have a price and we were hesitant to order anything listed as market price when all the regular entrees were quite costly. It's a shame that we couldn't get a reasonably-priced Sunday lunch.
