The food is amazing, especially the guac and quesadilla. But, the service was awful. I went last night, and was quite displeased. Our waitress did not come to our table to check in to see if we needed anything. I literally had to gesture to...other waiters/employees to ask for drinks and chips refill - at least 3 times. We waited for chips refill for at least 15mins. The frustrating thing is that I was watching her just walking around. So it wasn't like she was busy managing other tables. It was literally her just choosing not to come check in with us. The waitress was not polite. For me, the service makes the place, no matter how good the food is. As a result, I will not be returning to Gran Electrica. My advice - if you're okay with bad service at restaurants, then I'd recommend because the food is good.More

Gran Electrica is one of the first places I've ventured out to since NYC restaurants started opening back up. The staff followed Covid safe practices - were all masked up, tables truly 6 ft apart, constant sanitizing of spaces and menus. I felt very safe...and comfortable. The drinks and tacos were excellent. The back patio is open, calming, and relaxing.More

Gran Electrica will not disappoint you to say the least. Their fresh produce and creative dishes keep you wanting more, their setting gives you a meal of peace, and their service from each and every employee is as refreshing as their food. Not to say...that the service in terms of kitchen to table is as fast as it gets. Not only will you be so wrapped up in the vibe of the restaurant as a whole, but the food will place you in a state of rest. I personally always get one order of the Chicken Tacos and one of the Fish Tacos. The Chicken Tacos are juicy and zesty, and the Fish Tacos are fresh and crunchy. And do not even get me started on the Guacamole which does not stop to through me off my feet with its creamy texture in combination with the Pickled Onions. You will be more than happy you chose to go to Gran Electrica, and enjoy every second!More

Been here twice before, and it was excellent. This time things weren't so good. Prices are much higher and the quality has dropped. Still, very tasty mexican. Drinks list (read beers) was very poor & disappointing. Service was also varied, even the the waiter was...good. Beware, if it's cold don't sit near the back door.More

We met our niece here for dinner on a recent trip to NYC. Food, and drinks were outstanding. Flavors were solid in both. The margarita de Pepino is nice with a cucumber softened kick. Guacamole is very good, and I highly recommend the pescado tacos....Our evening was topped off with pudin de chocolate with a very nice port. Yum. We will revisit the next time we are back in the City.More

The vegetarian tacos were simply outstanding. But our waiter had his own agenda and it was difficult to get his attention a number of times. The staff in general were very helpful with our paraplegic friend.

Love this place. The bar, the restaurant section and the outdoor section. It is continuously good and never disappoints. Service is always attentive and the drinks are dangerously delicious. The menu is good for picky and adventurous eaters, as there as some interesting dishes. Great...for a date night or girls night. Ambiance is laid back and cool. Great Mexican spot in a kind of touristy area.More

Met some family from out of town for lunch here. We sat outside in a lovely courtyard. Drinks and food were delicious. Service was great. We would come here again.

Our family are very glad we chose Gran Electrica for some very tasty drinks! We enjoyed a Moscow mule, Sangria, IPA beer and spicy margarita! Next time we will try the patio for lunch. Highly recommend!

Went to Gran Electrica for lunch and drinks after crossing Brooklyn bridge in hot day. Lady at the door brought us to the table with a grave face - we tried to joke and chat a bit but she wouldn’t even smile or acknowledge. Ok,...we thought, not a good start but maybe she is in a bad mood. Sat down, quite serious and abrupt waiter asked what we want. We asked for recommendation for drinks, no reaction. We ordered two frozen margaritas and said we will order lunch when he brings drinks. He brings them back without straws. We asked for a straws, oh, we ran out of them, he says. How would you drink frozen margarita without a straw and why would he not mention it in advance? We left them untouched, paid and left the restaurant. He didn’t even try to offer us another drink or not charge us.More

Parking is decent. You can usually find street parking. You may have to drive around or park a block or 2 away, but not bad.
