Small portion plates that are just enough! Very delicious food for the prices and you won't be disappointed!

This was our first visit. Our group of 4 arrived just about 6 PM and the place was already full of people. We were lucky and got one of the last tables. The atmosphere is very lively with lots of servers. The servers were all very friendly and paid attention to what each of us ordered. The clientele mostly appeared... More

Good service, friendly servers and nice atmosphere. Enjoyed the fish tacos. Guacamole dip was really creamy and tasty.

Nice place in Brooklyn for quality Mexican food. Décor is authentic Mexican and so is the food. Staff is very friendly and helpful and I appreciated the manager walking over to the table to see how our experience was going. Guacamole was good, not great but good. Creamy but not spicy. Wanted a little more spice there. Queso Fundido was... More

Went there for dinner. Our friends often go there but it was our first time. Food was really good, margaritas as well. Service was friendly.

3 of us had dinner delivered from Chavelas. I had chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce, one of us has 3 different tacos and the 3rd had vegetarian tacos. Side dishes were Guac, sautéed veggies and corn with cheese crumbled on it. All 3 orders were ver tasty and I would definitely go again!!

My sister lives near by and I have been to Chavela's twice on two different trips out to see her. The first time it was a larger group for dinner, and the second time it was just the two of us. Both times I was left underwhelmed. The space is WAY to tight... I get that it's New York! But... More

But still pretty good - they moved from Classon Avenue to Franklin Avenue (smart for business) but in the move, the guacamole went from being the BOMB to just aight. The food is decent, the drinks are good, it gets very crowded, I wouldn't do this for a date night but more likely to hang with friends.

We went for lunch and the food was pretty good and very cheap. The portions were small that's the only thing I didn't like. The service and drinks were great. The restaurant definitely has an authentic Mexican restaurant feel to it.
