So I have been coming to Tabare for a few years now. I recently went and it was exactly as I remembered. Let's just say having a father who is Uruguayan I almost never order steak when going to a restaurant but omg they sure know how to cook skirt steak and the chimichurri is soo awesome. I also love... My friend and I were in NYC on business and hopped over to Brooklyn for a change of scenery. We stumbled upon Tabare, and we were so happy we did! We sat at the bar and were only going to have a drink or two plus an appetizer while we waited for another friend to transition to dinner. Since it... More

Had the Empanadas, Chicken Milanese, Chivito Completo, Alfajor Rustico, all of which were absolutely delicious! The space was charming and the service superb. We'll be back.

You know, if you find yourself walking by and just happen I to this place, you'll have an extremely pleasant time--more so than my rating might suggest. The atmosphere is cosy and quite charming without being to antique-y or Brooklyn dirty. The food was a little uneven but not in a terrible way. The empanadas and sweet potato soup was... More

Wow...Cuisine from Uraguay not in mainstream but should be..all the dishes here were unique and very well prepared...we had octopus, branzino, black sausage, hangar steak, homemade ravioli and pasta with outstanding deserts...bottle of red from 2004 for 55 dollars was a great value...attentive service completed the experience ...don't miss this one.

The prices are reasonable and the portions large. I had a special, a cheese omelet wtih radish greens with a side of potatoes and small salad greens for $9. It was delicious. For happy hour, the cocktails were $6 and I had a wonderful Mezcal cocktail. The other's in our party had the price-fixe brunch for $17 which included coffee,... More

It s a small restaurant with lots of charm. The food is great. There are a variety of cocktails and you should try them all. If you come between the hours of 5-7pm - its happy hour, buy one drink get the second one free. The service is great. Loved it.

I decided to check out a different restaurant in Williamsburg and we found this great place with a uruguayan kitchen. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm with nice music in the background. The service is very friendly and quick. I've ordered the Chivito Completo which was super tasty combined with a fresh Mimosa. I highly recommend this restaurant.

It was the husband's birthday and I was making it up to him since we both had to work late on the actual date. We arrived early to avoid the Sunday brunch crowd and were the first people there. Decor is like a old grocery store with a bar smacked in the middle, seating is very intimate and I guess... More
