Any time I’m hankering for flapjacks, eggs and bacon, I head over to Cadman Plaza - family run diner with a talented kitchen team serving up generous meals. Ask for Nancy, she’s the best!!

Varied and good selection for breakfast. Large portions that can be divided with advantage. A bit expensive and missed healthier options.
Excellent smoked brisket! It was tender and juicy. Hubby enjoyed his eggs too. Great service too. Baked goods look yummy. I’ll try them next time.
Thank you to our waitress for her welcome and professionalism. I don't think you will remember us, but we came two days in a row on August 18 and 19, 2019 and you got together! We were touched by this attention. So once again thank you to you for everything while hoping to see you again during our next stay!More
Barbecue was quite good. I had barbecue ribs and chicken wings. The serving size was adequate. My partner had a burger which was delicious.
A family -oriented place. Nick, the owner, worked in the restaurant as a child with his dad. He knows all the locals. I saw one lady order a grilled cheese sandwich. She could make it at home, yet wanted to patronize the restaurant she’s been...going to for years. I would recommended eating here. We ate here we are visiting from Long Island. We were hungry after a long day walking the High Line. We came here because it is so close to the Brooklyn bridge. They are all ready for social distancing dining. Of course hand sanitizer. Outdoor area on a raised wood deck covered with canvas tarps & little lights. I felt like I was away somewhere in Europe. The food is not your typical diner food. Excellent food, great service by Nancy, reasonably priced, immaculately clean. Great place!!More
Went here for lunch on a very windy Thursday in October. Complimentary iced water for the table, a welcoming touch. A family of five, we chose the "Family and Friends Feast" which comprised a full (huge) rack of ribs, a whole bbq chicken cut in...quarters, a pile of sliced brisket, a load of pickle chips, loads of cornbread, and a selection of sides: we chose fries, mac'n'cheese, peach stuffing and bbq baked beans. A generous trayful of really delicious food! And three contrasting bbq sauces to try. We did our best, but just couldn't finish it - at least when we rolled out of there we were less likely to be blown away by the gale that was howling down the promenade! Great value, all of that for just $70. Highly recommended.More
From the moment we were greeted at the door, the service and hospitality of your restaurant were wonderful. We were meeting some relatives for brunch and some were running late. As the restaurant became busy, we were able to stay in our large table and...made to feel welcome. Ebony was one of the best waitresses we’ve had anywhere! She was able to honor all dietary requests and even picked out grapefruit from the fruit cup that my sister ordered. She answered all questions about the menu and seemed very knowledgeable about all of it. After taking up a large table for about five hours she remained cheerful and even joked about being part of the family! My aunt lives a block away so this location was ideal and if we are in the area again, we will definitely come back!More
Whilst walking around Brooklyn Heights found this diner and it met all our expectations on what a good American diner should be. Great service. Our eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection and the coffee was pretty good too. We noted that it was used by...locals which is always a positive.More
My daughter and I met my niece and her boyfriend to celebrate his admission to the New York Bar. Service was great. My daughter has special dietary needs and the chef came out to personally address them. It was a lovely lunch.
We grabbed food here on our way to the fireworks. I thought we were pushing our luck but we were greeted warmly and provided with a table without difficulty - the place was buzzing including the police popping in as a watering hole. We mainly...had burgers plus a huge salad. Service was absolutely fine.More
Visited here while on a trip to Brooklyn to visit family. Very kid friendly restaurant and food that kids like to eat. During the week they host a neighborhood karaoke night. Very welcoming and warm placeMore

Have been to the Park Plaza Diner dozens and dozens of times. A review is long overdue. Before I get to the food, I must say that from the moment you walk in, you are warmly and happily greeted by either the nicest hostess/cashier or...the best father & son owners who are just the nicest, friendliest folks you could ever be greeted by. They inquire about your family/children and recall details about them from previous conversations. You feel like you're catching up with old friends. The long-term wait staff is just as impressive, recalling your food order preferences and providing great service. They have an extensive menu and the food is almost always perfect (although I'm not a fan of the French fries they're using lately: they have some skin, are too soft and limp and a bit too salty). Some favorites include their crab cakes, burgers, and French toast. I recommend you try it.More

Went here some weeks ago to have a steak. (I know you're thinking "Why not just make one yourself? It's so easy," but I really hate cleaning the broiler.) The place is spacious and the booths comfortable. The proprietor/manager kept watch on the place the...whole time. The menu is six or eight pages and there is something for everyone: vegetarian, gluten-free, Greek and Italian specialties, barbecue and so on. You can have breakfast at night if you like. The service was gracious but not intrusive, the portions large. I am a big eater but ended up bringing food home. It was a true ribeye and weighed what they claimed on the menu and was done exactly as I'd asked. (Unlike another diner in Manhattan I recently reviewed.) The only drawback is that there were two families there that evening with really noisy children. The family with the wailing baby and the family with the screeching girls were seated at one end of the place, but the racket ricocheted around the whole room. When I got up to go to the women's' room i had to walk through the bar. Even though there were loud TVs playing sports games, it was much quieter than the dining room! I don't think that the management could have done anything about it, though. After all they depend on families for much of their trade. Overall, I would recommend it especially for groups. The service was attentive, the food good and the prices more than fair.More

This is a lovely looking restaurant and the food is excellent, but it was the friendly service that left the biggest impression on my wife & I. We were staying in Manhattan for a weekend and I had researched online places that do good breakfasts...with Gluten-Free options. Wanting to walk over Brooklyn Bridge at some point meant Park Plaza was very appealing, it is a short walk from the promenade leading on to the Bridge. A short subway ride from Lower Manhattan got us there. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful, and the guy who seated us was happy to chat too (mostly about where we had come from in England, close to where his mother-in-law lives). The Park Plaza signature breakfast was fantastic, so much so that we decided to return the next day to have another! When we returned that second day we were treated like old friends by everybody. They are all happy to suggest things to do and places to see if you are from out of town. If you want nice people in a pleasant atmosphere, this place is for you. If you just want great food & coffee at the start of a long day - look no further!More
