I have come here twice once for happy hour and once for dinner. The food and drinks were excellent, service good. I would recommend a reservation if coming for dinner. Try the guacamole and the skirt steak. I think it was slightly overpriced but good quality food.

We were looking for a warm atmosphere with good food. We found both at Fonda, Park Slope, Brooklyn. Cheerful greeting upon entering, but not overbearing---just enough to settle you into a spot before you enjoy a well-made cocktail and fresh chip and dip. Nothing loud going on here, just the subtle sounds of cordial conversation where you can hear yourself... More

If your looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, look no further. Fonda serves contemporary Mexico City styled cuisine. Locations in Park Slope, Chelsea and East Village. The Quacamole with chips and Sangria are worth the trip. Everything is spiced (not hot, tasty)to perfection. Menu is well balanced, meat, fish and vegetarian. Specials are always awesome.

A fantastic restaurant! Great service, fresh food and very accommodating for people (like me) with food allergies! It is not a large place so it was noisy. The guacamole was excellent! So are the Margarita's!

We ate at their outdoor seating in the back of the restaurant with lively salsa music from their speaker. My red snapper was fresh and delicious.

For the second time within a fortnight, we chose to dine at Fonda. This simple facy proves our satisfaction. The guacamole and the chipotle sauce is just fantastic. Everything else is absolutely exquisite and the service is stainless. A bit pricey but worth it,

I went to Fonda this past Saturday with my daughter who is 9 months pregnant. We did not have reservations. we walked in the hostess asked if we had reservations. We said no. So she stared at us and told us well you cant get a table. She did not even say if you want to wait . I mean... More

Good Mexican food. Be sure to call ahead. We actually got right in with a call, but those just walking in had a 2 hour wait. Could have just been luck, but I would get a reservation. We didn't get the guacamole, though most people did. We got a cheese appetizer. There were 3 of use and they only gave... More

Mexican can be a tricky category for dinning. You can have the cheap eats taco choices or something fancy like Rosa Mexicano or Suenos. Cheap eats are a whole 'nother ball game, but when you want to go upscale, Fonda is my perfect choice. let me add that when I say upscale that doesn't mean high prices. The food here... More

Although it has been here for quite a while we see it is getting more and more well known. Fonda serves very delicious Mexican dishes to a crowd of Brooklyn foodies who love it. We came in from Manhattan because we had heard of the native dishes available in Park Slope. Service started a bit slowly as the place was... More
