This has to be the best Thai food I have ever had. I'm not a big fan of the food, but Bay Thai has truly won me over. The menu was expansive and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I went there for dinner, and it definitely has the dim-lit date ambiance.

Went here for lunch because of great reviews on TripAdvisor. Was extremely disappointed that they were no longer in business. Ordered edammame (could have used more salt), chicken satay with peanut sauce which was okay and Pad Thai which had a little more heat than other places. Staff was friendly. I found the place not as clean as it could... More

This place is is easily missed. It's a small place in a rarely visited part of Bay ridge that seats less than 35 people. It's quiet and I've noticed that many people order take out. Which I love because I'm all for not crowded restaurants. The food seems to me more authentic than other places in NYC. Pure thai. Food... More

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. Party of 6. seated right away. The Singha's arrived quickly and cold. We shared some dumplings and an excellent spicy papaya salad. I had Thai Basil with squid. Asked for it spicy and it was perfect. Everyone else had some sort of noodles dish.....drunken noodles (spicy and not spicy, both were excellent),... More

I've been going to Bangkok Thai since it opened in the early 1990s. Just "south of the border" of Sunset Park, it's bloomed almost imperceptibly over the years in this long unnoticed part of Bay Ridge. The subtle charm and warm reception are enduring qualities that make it so inviting. A peaceful atmosphere pervades. Play detective and ponder the mysteries... More

Been eating here since it opened. My 11 & 12 year olds started eating here in utero. Now 19 years layers we still cross the bridge as often as possible for the most complex and amazing Thai food in NYC. Nothing compares on the east cost from DC to Maine.

Been coming here for years. Love that everything is family run. The food and atmospher has a traditional feel to it. Everytime we have friends and family over, we take them here. And they can never stop talking about this place. O yea and the food is delicious.

I live close to the Bangkok Thai House restaurant. For over 10 years my friends and I have been devoted customers. We have been to many Thai restaurants in the city, trying two dishes in particular which are exceptional at the Bangkok. We wanted to see if anyone could surpass them. They have not. I feel like I am describing... More
