Worth the wait for a table - brunch was delicious. This is our friend's (who live in New York) favourite brunch location in Brooklyn and we were able to see why. On a nice sunny day, even in November, we were able to sit outside. Service was prompt and friendly. Only negative was that we over-ordered and weren't able to... More

Followed Chef Baird from Chapter One in Greenwich Village to Greenpoint because his menus are that interesting.. A blend of seasonings but not overpowering.. Hanger steak is excellent.. Restaurant is crowded, tends to be noisy at times but the food and service are worth it.. to me it is a throw back to my village days when everyone enjoyed good... More

Ok, the food is great, not denying that, and it's 5 stars all the way....but, as an obnoxious native New Yorker, I have to remove a star for the fact that this is an archetypical "New Brooklyn" establishment, replete with the gentrifying newcomers that have transformed NYC from a city of neighborhoods into a city of "artisanally themed locations"....& driving... I came here purely for the coffee after reading on Time Out New York that it was great coffee in Brooklyn. Thankfully, I did not have to wait in the giant line outside the place to get brunch. They have a coffee window right outside. I got an almond milk latte. It was pretty good. Not the best latte I... More

We spent dinner here with some friends. It's one of the favourite places to eat in the area so it's always busy and could be a wait for a table. The food and staff were great. Everything is delicious and of course everyone gets the truffle fries. The only issue I had with the place is that the music was... More

We went here for a late breakfast, the kitchen is open all day so even a very late breakfast should work. The pancakes can serve two, the char / salmon with black bread is very delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed, no hurries. There seems to be a difference between Brooklyn and Manhattan

I drove 45 minutes from Manhattan to dine at Five Leaves for breakfast after the great reviews on trip advisor. The food and the service left much to be desired. I ordered the Brekkie, which was below average in my opinion. I wasn't fond of the hash browns-- however, my poached egg was prepared perfectly. To add insult to injury,... More

While traveling over the weekend we were required to check out from our accommodations before 11, however had a flight at 3:30. We needed to find somewhere to eat, but also had luggage for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Not too easy to find a place that will store your things and feed you. I called a couple of hotels... More
