So nice to have such a close by donut/coffee spot but wandering a bit from the hotel will net you a much more local and authentic experience

Looks good, good location, very disappointing though. Even tried their breakfast take on an egg sandwhich, not good either. Generally wouldn't eat this but was next to our hotel (William Vale) and looked so enticing. Thought Dufresne would do better.
What a great place to get your "sugar" fix. Although the doughnuts are pricey, and there is a limited variety, the variety is mouth-watering. The doughnuts are very fresh. Staff is friendly and helpful, especially when a person has trouble making up their mind which...to order.More
I had the mini donuts which is a great idea to sample the different flavors that they offer. The donuts are cake donuts and were on the dry side. Maybe the larger donuts aren't so dry.
My wife and I decided to try out Du's Donuts while in Williamsburg as we searched online for recommendations for the best donuts in NYC from food critics. this was while we were on vacation here from the UK. Unfortunately we were left very, very...disappointed with the donuts we had. My wife is a business owner and runs her own cake design and making business and knows a good bake and understands flavours and quality of ingredients used. He personal favourite flavours are Nutella and Banana and when seeing the Nutella Banana donut on the menu, it was a no brainer. She let me eat mine first and could tell by my reaction that it was not going to be good. To be perfectly honestly the donut tasted stale, dry and dense but there wasn't any hint of Nutella or Banana flavour whatsoever!! I would go as far as to stay there wasn't even a hint of chocolate or hazelnut flavouring either. Then my wife proceeded to eat hers and confirmed the exact same thing. At this point one of the chefs and I think he was the head chef came over to my wife asking if everything was okay? He must have seen our reactions to the taste of the donuts. Now my wife is overly polite and I think in this instance she should have said something. It was not until we left that my wife was kicking herself and wishing she'd have mentioned the lack lustre taste of the donut. We were literally shocked that this establishment was recommended so highly on a food critics website. If you've been to New York or Brooklyn, you'll know that you have to travel some distance to walk to these places and if somethings not as good as it is meant to be, it leaves you feeling robbed of your energy and time getting there, not to mention the calories!! Major disappointment considering the recommendation.More
Stopped in 3 straight mornings for a quick pre breakfast meal. Try out any of the donuts and get a very tasty expresso made with Stumptown beans.
The coffee was great. I didn’t hate the donuts, nor did I love them. I felt the selection was very limited.
We stayed at the William Vale when visiting Brooklyn and tried Du's because of its convient location. Their selection was very poor and the donuts they had were stale. Don't waste your time.
Loved the chocolate one and a fruity one (cranberry something). Tried to go one afternoon around 3:30 and they were out, so don't wait too late in the day.
The day I visited, it was extremely cold. I went to drink some hot chocolate and to talk for a few with a friend. It's a cute coffee shop in a hotel. Their doughnuts were also very good. If you don't like your drink at...first, they would do anything to fix it, just ask. Good service.More
Fun place to experience donuts. Very good coffee and a great place to just relax and meet new people.
Tasty almond coconut donuts. If you like cake type donuts, you will be very happy here. friendly staff.
Super cool shop right outside the WIlliam Vale. The coffee was really good and the scrambled egg, grilled cheese is borderline heavenly. Things move a little slower in the outer borough, so as long as you aren't in a rush, enjoy the donuts, food and...coffee. It's a great clean and new space. Really well done.More
Donuts were delicious and coffee was perfect! I highly recommend it! Great space to work as well, staff was excellent.
Loved the branding and the toppings, and that's about it. The limited selection, the price and the "dense as brick dough" made me run back for the door. Beware: this shops only takes cards, and the server will hand you the little hand held device...they use for payments and asks you whether you'd like to tip them 30%, 40% or 50%... for putting the dounuts in a bag and process your payment. This has to stop. People say no.More
