I enjoyed the food, the service was cheerful and fast. We had a combination for 2 people and a bottle of rioja. Price average. Suggested

Delicious food, a low key atmosphere and decent prices make this my Ethiopian place, even though it's in Brooklyn and I am in Staten Island. Consistent, and always delicious food, but plan to make a reservation as it's kind of small. Vegetarians will be happy here too.

The food is definitely different. Very tasty, spicy but not overly. The service is fine and the people there quite friendly. Décor welcoming, also. Glad we found it and have already returned for 2d meal. Also, portions good-sized but not overwhelming. Strongly recommend

Ghenet is a great restaurant to eat, enjoy and relax. Ethiopian restaurant with dishes to share and guess what? All you need is an appetite and your fingers(make sure you wash your hands before diving in). We were asked by three different prople if everything was okay and if we needed anything. Highly recommend if you are in Brooklyn and... More

My daughter and I had dinner at Ghenet Brooklyn. We shared a combination vegetarian plate. The food was pleasantly present on a very large platter. We were given Ethiopian bread to use to eat it (no utensils). We had 8 different types of vegetarian dishes included - all different, all delicious. The dishes ranged from something made from potatoes to... More

If you like filling up on buckwheat pancakes and eating with these yoga mats wrapped around pureed food, by all means good. Food is delectable but does not remotely resemble the platters in the publicity shots. Staff was very nice.

Ghenet is my cure for missing my favorite eating and coffee haunts in Piassa or on Bole Road in Addis Ababa. Very laid back, relaxed atmosphere where single diners or families can enjoy authentic Habesha cuisine. Ghenet is the only place in New York that serves Abajefar coffee if your into and I appreciate that. I do my best to... More

I ate here while in Brooklyn on business. I had the vegetarian platter although I am not vegetarian. I let the waiter chose the four dishes I could have with varying spiciness. I loved it. For authentic Ethiopian food I thoroughly recommend it!

First time here - great place for vegetarians. The favorite seems to be the mixed platter of meat or vegetarian dishes - pretty spartan decor, but good for a casual meal. They also have a full bar and beer and wine.

Amazing. We both got the combination platters that allow you to try many different dishes for a few dollars more than just getting one dish. The beef was outstanding, as were all of the different vegetable dishes. I would also recommend trying a glass of the honey wine- it was excellent with the food. Can't wait to go back. They... More
