Hands down one of the best frozen margaritas around! Plus, Mauricio the Bartender is a charm! This place is a must visit on your Brooklyn bucket list!

The food was very good. Staff was very kind and the inside of the restaurant is very nice. The food was a little bit oily in my opinion, though.
This was a good nice Mexican spot in an area without that many restaurants. It's a pretty laid back spot and the food tasted pretty authentic. I didn't expect the prices to be as high as they were, but we had a nice time. Good...variety on their menu, too, and their guacamole was yummy!More
Excellent authentic Mexican in Brooklyn. Takes a little time to get there from Manhattan by Subway and train times can be limited to return but Uber is approx $25. Staff are helpful and service is fast! Margaritas are 🤤
This is our go-to place in the neighborhood! The servers are always nice and the food tastes great. Love the free salsa and chips, and of course the guacamole and margaritas :-)
The restaurant has a nice decoration; it has piñatas, a portrait of cantinflas, some artisanal type of napkins, etc. The attention is really good. The staff is very friendly. The food was not to our taste. We are used of having a more authentic Mexican...food. We ordered 6 different tacos and they were on the disappointing side. One of the tacos I ordered was shrimp tacos; I found 2 shrimps and the rest were lettuce and tomatoes. We will for sure give it another try and select another type of dish next time.More

Full disclosure: We met Brenda, the co-owner of El Patron, years ago when she was a waitress at another Mexican place in Brooklyn. Since that time, she and her sister have worked really hard to open their own restaurant. The space is cozy and welcoming,...and the food and margaritas were delicious. We had the guacamole made tableside, which was really fresh and with the perfect amount of spiciness--they'll make it to your taste. My fish tacos were also really tasty, with fresh shrimp that was just slightly smoky and perfectly tender and juicy, not dry and overcooked as shrimp often is. They came with a nice serving of rice, beans, and guac. The drinks were also really good, and prices are very reasonable. Brenda is one of the sweetest, most genuinely kind people we've ever known--please go and meet her yourself and support her and her sister in their new endeavor. You'll feel like she's a long-lost friend, just as we do.More
A friend introduced me to this wonderful little restaurant during a recent visit to Brooklyn, and I'm so glad he did! Grabbing a choice window seat, we were presented with a cold water jug and a varied menu. Being a spicy food fan, I was...immediately drawn to the Spicy Shrimp burrito, while my friend chose his favorite guacamole and chicken fajita. The salsa was zesty and delicious, and the chips a well-seasoned delight. When our food arrived, I was delighted with my burrito: the shrimp were tender, the rice soft and tasty, and the (huge) burrito was swimming in a truly delectable spicy sauce that gave off heat without sacrificing a bit of flavor. I couldn't finish more than half at one sitting, but I couldn't help giving it a try. The food was THAT good. I would go there again in a heartbeat and try to match my friend's prodigious take-home order as well. Maybe next time I'll be around later in the day to enjoy a margarita in their new lounge space!More
El Patron has great burritos and drinks! We've always left the place full AND with leftovers. For the low prices, it's like having two meals for the price of one. We've had it on location and to go, both worth it, although the restaurant has...a large bar which is always a bonus, promising you a seat for quick drinks.More
Large menu, guacamole made fresh at your table, food excellent . The will have a liquor license soon, but you can bring your own booze, service is delightful
