We spotted the Pump House from the riverboat and decided to have our evening meal there. It was fantastic as was the decor and service; so much so we decided there couldn't be a better place to eat on our second night in Fairbanks, so went back again, and were not disappointed. Food was second to none - well done!!
We ate here last night with the party of seven. Different people tried the pork rack of ribs, several of us had the grilled halibut which was the special for the night. It had purple sweet potatoes, mushrooms, and spinach underneath. The food was good, I don't think it had enough flavor or sauce for $34. Service was good.
I had Alder-Smoked St. Louis Ribs and other people in the group had Elk Meatloaf Wrapped in Bacon and Grilled Alaskan Salmon. All food was fantastic! The decor was rustic. Go early it fills up fast!

My sister, daughter and I decided to drive to Fairbanks for a girls road trip. We decided to stop at the Pump House Restaurant &Saloon for dinner. We were more than pleasantly surprised. When we walked in, we were greeted by Danielle and staff with such warmth and smiles. Our server, Patrick was top notch and he was awesome! Definitely... More
Fabulous Food, Service, and Atmosphere. Our first visit here and it was really great. I had the Tri Tip steak and it was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth good. My wife had the Birch Syrup-Glazed Bacon-Wrapped Alaskan Scallops. Just the Best we've had in Fairbanks. Also, for those who like Key Lime Pie, they have the Best... More
I like going to the Pump House to enjoy great Alaskan food, the rustic atmosphere and interesting history. The brunch is great if you like buffets. I usually tell visitors to Fairbanks to put on their list of "to do's" here. It can seem pricey but if your on vacation it's worth the price.
