The service is pretty good. The food is what you'd expect at a typical diner/cafe, nothing special but pretty good. The prices are reasonable. It's just an old standby for breakfast.

We had a group of 11 for breakfast and were served very quickly. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The selections were great and the food was more than plentiful. Wish I had time to return for another meal.

Wow! If you like sourdough pancakes, you have to try these! I had the reindeer sausage and eggs plate with sourdough pancakes and hashbrowns. Everything was cooked to perfection. A true Alaskan experience.

We had breakfast here on a Sunday morning. The place was clean, service was quick and the food and portion sizes were good. They kept my husband's coffee cup full which we really appreciated. It is not a fancy place but I would eat here...More

This is my second review. The food is still good. Pricing is still the same, but the service sure has gone down hill! Two waitresses serving 8 people and it takes 15 minutes to get our order and another 10 minutes to get drinks. I...More

We were at the Museum of the North and asked someone working there if there was a quick lunch spot nearby. They sent us to Sam's and it was a basic, quick lunch, at a diner. Our server was very friendly and efficient. The food...More

Stayed in Fairbanks for 2 nights and found this awesome Cafe. Patty and her fellow hostesses were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast both mornings was tasty, quick and served with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble.

After living in Fairbanks quite sometime back and having Sam’s as one of our favorites, it was disappointing to go back and find the food lacking in flavor. The portions were still huge but the quality seems to have suffered. We had the sourdough pancakes...More
