My wife and I shared the steak dinner and I ordered a cup of soup. The waitress brought 2(!) cups (gonna throw it out, honey) of delicious cabbage patch soup that had lots of stuff besides cabbage, including hunks of beef. Then she brought out my steak order, on two plates, already cut, with mashed potatoes and vegetables and fresh... More

Generous servings by a very friendly waitress. Although the corned beef hash was not as good as we hoped the serving was generous. The home maid pie was great.

I learned that when one pancake is an option -- take it. I ordered two plus reindeer sausage and didn't come close to finishing it. Food, service, and atmosphere were all good.

I came in for the ice cream, which was delicious. It's also a good spot to fill up before going further North and a good spot to make any last minute phone calls. Cell coverage is spotty through the mountains. I heard the pancakes are amazing from a local.

A great place for pie and coffee. The food is very good. This is a favorite stop for locals and truck drivers going and coming from the North Slope .

Great place to see and understand the truckers who run the Haul Road to Barrow. Food was good, reasonable and service great.

Stopped here for breakfast on way to cross the Artic Circle via Daltons Hwy! The food was excellent and service was very good and "local" friendly! We all got a slice of pie and my 3 Berry pie was SO delicious!! So happy I got one of the T-shirts with a 18 wheeler truck on back that says "I brake... More

Went here for the Pie. And it was everything the bumper sticker said it would be. Hilltop is known for t here great pies. The place was very busy, but we foul a table and we're waited on quickly. Try ther Fat Man pie or the butterfinger it's Great! 10 out of 10 will Break for Pie Again!!!

Been coming to Hilltop since just after the Pipeline construction completed and this business popped up using a Camp Kitchen as a truck stop café for truckers like myself on the haul rd. I must say it always had a stellar reputation for good hot home cooked meals and sandwiches. Our latest visit was disappointing. 30 mins. to get a... More

This may be just a truck stop, but it is also a piece of history. The food comes in large portions and tastes like it should. The service would not fit in a Michelin restaurant, but these are authentic truck stop servers who do a darn fine job filling the bellies of real Alaskans. Not the best pies in the... More
