From the Home made French pate" that a friend, that lived in Paris said was the best he has had in many years. Of coarse to 2 bottle of wine, to the escargot to the fantastic table side salads made in front of you. The steak was cooked just right to. Just an impeccable service also.

La Petite offers good meals, good portions, and fresh seasonal cuisine. The only downside is that other than seasonal items such as shad roe, soft shell crabs, & rock fish, the menu rarely changes.

My wife and dog and I stopped here for dinner on a warm, but nit too warm of a night. We ate outside> I first asked about the wine and I was told that this was her first night join her own so she would get the management. She came out with a sample that management suggested for both of... More

Many restaurants on the William St strip are closed on Mondays so we were delighted to find La Petite Auberge opened. We were on the later side of its lunch hours, so we were seated fairly quickly and had a nice table in a corner. The warm French rolls were a nice start, quite delicious. Since we have eaten all... On the bar side of the restaurant Wayne creates a welcoming environment akin to an upscale “Cheers”. Definitely my all time favorite place to go in Fredicksburg. A resident for 50 days, I met a number of great people at this fine establishment that I came to call friends. The food is perhaps the most consistent “fine dining” in town... More

We ate dinner at Petite Auberge and enjoyed it a lot. Wines by the glass are reasonably priced, food not inexpensive, but worth the price. I enjoyed a special of duck breast with a wonderful risotto, husband had crab Norfolk, also very good. Chocolate mousse dessert was lovely.

I visited this restaurant with local friends and had a wonderful experience. I am a big fan of mushroom risotto, and the one that came with my salmon is probably the best I've ever had. Not only that, the ambience of the place was lovely - from the artist playing in the lounge to the art on the walls to... More

Auberge continues to satisfy the culinary tastes and welcomes guests into a pleasurable dining atmosphere. Service excellent, food excellent, tasty and attractively plated. Parking demand exceeds supply in the area on busy nights, but this downtown congestion conundrum is offset easily by a short couple of blocks walk. Advice: drop off guests at front door before you seek parking, as... More

We'd been looking forward to dining at "the best restaurant in Fburg," and, indeed, it probably is. However, we left and enjoyed an excellent meal elsewhere, being rebuffed when we crossed the threshold of the open door, before they were ready for diners. With just a few inviting words, the experience could have been tres differente.

First I am very sorry to hear you were treated this way as we strive to treat all our customers as our welcomed guests. I did hear about this issue from the person who had referred you to our restaurant, and I asked her if she knew any details about who you had this encounter with. I would very much... More
