We came back after not having been in 20+ years and it was just as awesome. I had the French onion soup as an appetizer and it was delicious. Hubby had he calamari which is huge and loved it. I had the filet bearnaise which came with green beans and potatoes. Hubby had the rack of lamb with the same... More

Great atmosphere with wonderful service and delicious choices in menu for all. Our server Jayson was great. He took time listen and answer questions and make real suggestions from wines to craft beer. Only complaints, no sugar free deserts and real French coffee.

Having visited the restaurant several times in the past, we decided to stop by tonight on our way between Washington and Richmond. We arrived around 4:45 to take advantage of the happy hour and bar menu before the restaurant officially opened for dinner at 5:30. We decided to sit outside and wanted to order drinks and items from the bar... More

Ellen, I am sorry to hear that you received this kind of service. I will definitely be addressing this with our staff. We have had a recent turn over of waitstaff and have a lot of new people that are still honing their skills. I appreciate you taking the time to let us know about this so that we can... More

My husband and I were in Fredericksburg for dinner on Saturday the 29th. We decided to enjoy the wonderful weather and visit a few restaurants for appetizers and drinks. We began at Deutschland Downtown (which is always great) and then about 6:30 headed to La Petite Auberge. There was only one other table occupied outside so we sat down and... More

Hi KTgirl109, I would like to first apologize for whatever encounter you had inside. I will definitely be asking my staff what happened that night. I will say that Our patio is not seat yourself, you are required to see the hostess or host for a table. This is so that we know that you are here and need service.... More

I made dinner reservations at this restaurant for my husband's birthday on a Saturday night. We were seated promptly and found the decor and ambiance to be charming. Our server was excellent. We had escargot (not for me, but my husband loved it) and French onion soup for starters. They were superb. The wine was quality. My husband had their... More

We requested a special table but were not seated there, as we were 5 minutes late..It felt like a punishment, as the table was vacant the entire time we were dining. The food is okay - depending on what your order. I ordered crab Newberg, whish was described as in a creamy sauce. It was lump crab meat on a... More

If you are expecting French cuisine, than stay clear of this place. I want to be fair, but this is not a French restaurant. I have been to Paris numerous times. We were greeted by a lady dressed very casual in sandals and leggings, she was seemed to be rushed and not very friendly. The restaurant is not decorated French,... More

We love French food so we tried this restaurant. My husband ate the pork chop for dinner. He rated it an 8.5 out of 10. I had the duck. It was about a 7. The "orange" sauce was mediocre. However, the prices were quite reasonable.

When in doubt in looking for a place to take your friends La Petite Auberge is the place. I had the mussels and shrimp and they were fantastic. While the menu is limited, you can be assured that the quality is tops. We have friends coming again next month and will return for another great experience. if your looking for... More

My go to place to take a friend to lunch, or for a romantic dinner for two. The food is excellent with many choices from salads to full luncheon/ dinner plates.
