We arrived before 5pm on a Saturday evening so we could get an outside seat upstairs. We succeeded with getting a table even though it was crowded. The restaurant was much more casual than anticipated. We placed our drink and appetizer order and the appetizer...came out after a long wait, but still no drinks. We finally got them . Very slow! The food was ok. Second round of drinks were just as slow. Disappointing. There seemed to be zero Covid precautions. It was very full and no one wore masks while walking to the restroom or up to the bar to order drinks. People hugged, shook hands and chatted close together all mask less. I was happy to finally leave as it didn't seem like a very safe environment. Wont be back.More

Our party of six went for dinner around 6:15 on a Thursday evening. They were seating only outside at ground level or on the rooftop area. We opted for rooftop on this pleasant evening. Our waiter was good and friendly. We had four starters -...artichoke dip, fried mozzarella, Thai shrimp, and jalapeño poppers. The shrimp was the best, the others were just ok. All of our entree’s were very good. I had the fettuccine carbonara. It was not on the menu, but I just asked and they readily accommodated. Desserts were Ok - tiramisu and profiterole cake. The profiteroles were a bit tough. The tiramisu is really just a cake tasting like tiramisu, not the traditional tiramisu that I would expect from an authentic Italian restaurant. Our bill was reasonable for two entrees, two appetizers, and dessert, $59.More

Perhaps I was envisioning a more upscale experience based on the look and feel of the website. We went to check if a table was available outdoors but there was a long wait. The hostess said I can go check the skybar myself. The skybar...was smaller than what it looked like in the photo. It was also pretty noisy with a 45 minute wait at 5:30 p.m. We settled for an indoor table. It was a bit cramped inside and my daughter was not seated 6 feet apart from the guest at the next table. It took a long while for a server to acknowledge us. The server's mask was hanging below her nose. The variety on the menu showed less than half of what was on the website. I had the seafood linguini. It was alright, not great, not bad. I had wanted to have dessert but there was a pesky fly that lingered around our table so we decided to get dessert elsewhere. We had a good enough time at dinner but I was actually a bit relieved when we walked out the door.More

I picked this place for a date night and we sat up in the Skybar. It was a little chilly so I expected to see heaters but there weren’t any and we were sitting on cold metal chairs. We placed our orders. My date got...his beer before my mixed drink came out. My drink was really good once I got it. Then my date got his meal before my food came out. He got the pizza and said it was really good. My chicken fettuccine was ok. It was a little too salty and peppery. The service we received wasn’t great but not horrible. I would probably go back if we were to go on a week night instead of a Saturday.More

Was in the neighborhood and this place came recommended so a friend and myself stopped in for dinner. My litmus test for Italian restaurants is lasagna so I tried there for $14 lasagna and my friend ordered a small pizza. My dish came with a...small salad which was very fresh and had a tasty Caesar dressing. When the food arrived it looked beautiful. The lasagna was actually made with fresh pasta which is a rarity at this price. A beautiful heavy red sauce surrounded it. It was rich and delicious and I saved some to take home! My friends pizza was much larger than expected and delicious. I even ordered a pizza to go as it looked so fantastic I wanted to share one with my family. The next time we are in Fredericksburg I’ll be sure to stop in again. My only small complaint/suggestion would be to spruce up the ambience a bit with perhaps some Italian music and some Italian color. It was a very drab restaurant and I almost wondered if we were in the wrong place at first. Plus the floors were kind of slick and dirty feeling.More

At last - a restaurant meal, and a good one. This past weekend our Governor decided we were adults and could dine out if we wished. Castiglia obliged with plenty of outdoor tables and loaded ours with excellent Italian spread. My bride had a mozzarella...di bufala caprese and a shrimp scampi. I indulged myself with zuppa de cozze followed by linguine di mare which included OCTOPUS. Hard to find and I love it. All washed down with a nice Chianti. Service was attentive and excellent even though the staff had to run like squirrels to keep us all fed and lubricated. This is an excellent Italian experience sweetened by the the first dine-out in a couple of months. We will certainly be back, and soon.More

The Mediterranean brick-oven pizza is incredible! Full of well-balanced toppings. They had my to-go order correct and ready as anticipated.

Living in the south , always get my Italian on up North. Visiting the area, stopped in. For the Love of everything Italian. This place makes the grade. The aromas, family style tables & great prices with good portions. cibo delizioso! Must have calamari. Friendly...employees are happy employees. Calzone size of a football. Small pizza is considered large down south. No northern prices. Reasonable prices 4 adults & 1 tween. $100 includes 2 starters, 4 adult meals & 1 chicken nugget dish. Plus Pellegrino, 4 sodas.More

This place was reccomended to us by a local. We walked in, and were totally ignored. I wanted to walk out, it wasn't the cozy sort of restaurant I'd imaged for our night out. It was pretty busy, but like I said, lacking in atmosphere,...kind of like a school cafeteria. Unfortunately we finally got noticed, so we sat down. The waitress told us that if we hurried, the pizzas were on special for $10, so we got that. It was OK. They have many other things on the menu, Italian and American. I'm sure this is a good place for young people, families with kids, and large groups. There is also a separate bar sectionMore

It was first come, first served when we went there last June. Our party of eight had to wait a few minutes, but not long before we were seated.
