Lovely location. Nice staff. Very small bar. Plebian Wine List. Food is generic as served in 100's of US restaurants.

Food was tasty after it was reheated. Order was wrong. Passing waiters colones were so strong we could hardly enjoy the food.

This restaurant is well worth the visit. The inside has beautiful decor and the staff is very friendly. The food is delicious and plenty of it. They offer quite a bit on their menu. My husband and I ordered Jagerschnitzel, which was excellent. This restaurant is a bit pricey, but well worth it.

We have been here a few times before since they opened and not very impressed but yesterday was our last. I really don't know who writes the great food reviews but don't believe them. It was my birthday and my wife made reservations for 3. We tried 3 different entrees so we could split them. My wife got the portabello... More

While visiting Fredericksburg my husband and I decided to stop by on a Saturday for lunch. We did not have reservations but were quickly seated. The restaurant was fairly empty (which should have been a sign). Having traveled to Germany I had high hopes. I ordered Wiener schnitzel with butter noodles and zucchini. The schnitzel was a bit greasy and... More

Wow, really good German food. Also, good German beer. Wait staff was spot on. I will stop here again ever time I am in the area.

My husband and i have been many times. Such a variety of fine German food. Many of our neighbors frequently have lunch or dinner with us. I like the red cabbage. It is conveniently located right by the train staion. Parking lot is a little difficult to find, but only about a block away down from it.

Full disclosure - German heritage here. So we're overly critical of German restaurants that can never measure up to Oma's cooking. We had a large party (9) at around noon on a Friday. It's been awhile, so I'm using my receipt to recall our orders - bauernwurst, bratwurst, two goulash, two leberkase, schnitzel, schweinbraten, sides of salad, fries & veggies,... More

It was Restaurant week and booked solid. We had just arrived into town on the VRE with our luggage and all. We were looking for a cab behind the train station and saw this place. Wandered in and sat at the bar. A long story short, the place itself is iconic, warm, and inviting. The staff though busy, welcomed us.... More

A group of 6 of us went here for lunch during restaurant week. Only one of us ordered something from the restaurant menu. The rest of us ordered off of the dinner menu. When you order off either of those menus you get unlimited sides. Since we were a larger group we were able to get all the sides. The... More
