We ate here on a Saturday night and it was crowded, but we got seated after a short wait. Our waiter was super friendly, the beer was authentic German, but the food stole the spotlight on this visit. The portions were huge and all of it was delicious. We got the Kasseler Rippchen and the Rumsteak and highly recommend both.

Love going here - not quite as good as the original in Madison but it's closer for me. The service is impeccable and you can get your beer in a boot.

This Restaurant can't be beaten by any like competitor within 50mi for the food and service not to mention price and the parking also has great ambiance Some think the Food is heavy Hello it's German certainly no Need to over order as the servings are generous I enjoyed the mushroom soup which beats any cream of mushroom

Our experience here was, as I said, pretty good. Service was fine, but it is past time to stop clothing the waitresses in those silly breast-accentuating outfits to fit the German waitress stereotype. Anyway - most of the main courses do not come with pre-determined sides, but the two of us got to choose which four of eight we wanted.... More

We had Saturday evening dinner, during Restaurant week. WIfe ordered from the set dinner and I ordered regular menu, We had very nice meals. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive even given that the restaurant was full and very busy.

We decided to take advantage of Restaurant Week in Fredericksburg. The website stated two-course lunches are priced at $10.16 while three-course dinners are priced $20.16. We both like German food so we chose to try the Bavarian Chef. I guess because it was the weekend we were charged the dinner price of $20.16 each. There was a special “restaurant week”... More

The arrive is great. The steak was very good but it is so heavy on top of heavy. We didn't enjoy the sides at all. Would be nice if they offered some veggies not served in a heavy sauce. Just looking for a fresh crisp veggie option to help cut the heavy options.

I tried the Fredericksburg Bavarian Chef after having visited the Madison VA location many, many times. Had a free Sunday and decided the trip would probably be worth it. It was and more!! I had the special schweinshaxe which is a huge, tender ham hock smothered in crispy onions & a sort of Thanksgiving dressing on the side - beyond... More

Decided to get off I-95 N on the way back from Virginia Beach for dinner while rush hour traffic waned. At first we thought the prices were high for German food, but the portions were very generous. My beef sauerbraten was delicious and the German potato salad was, too. I did not care for the zucchini medley. My wife enjoyed... More
