Terrific bread, smaller selection (but very good) of baked goods. Great fruit tarts. Hole-in-the-wall neighborhood bakery to which people come from miles around, practically in the heart of a residential area.

There is not one thing at Clear Flour that will disappoint, more likely anything you taste will be the best you've ever had. Long lines, get there early with a cup of coffee, well worth the wait.

This is simply the finest boulangerie-style bakery in town. Wonderful European - style breads and some cakes, all absolutely fresh and flawless. The BEST challah.

Ok, so I happened upon this bake shop when I was doing early morning laundry next door and OMG what a blessing. The yummy smells were wafting over and I couldn't help but venture in. The coffee is wonderful but the pastries and baked breads- hauntingly delicious. Like I am thinking I want to go back to Brookline just for... More

If you want fresh european style baked goods and old-world breads, this is the place for you. They don't make every bread every day, so if you have a favorite, ask ahead if they have it for the day. From June - November you can catch them at the Brookline Farmers Market behind the Coolidge Corner Theater as well.

Terrific bread and other baked goods and worth the queue when busy, but they need to offer sliced breads when desired. Love their tomato rolls, German rye and many others.

This is my favorite bakery in the Boston area. Their breads are fantastic (baguettes, focaccia, and many more). I often go in just for a couple of buckwheat walnut rolls. The sweeter offerings are also great. The currant scone is one of my favorites and I always try a macaron when they have them. Various croissants make a nice breakfast;... More

After searching for great bakeries everywhere I travel, Clear Flour is one of the very best. Worth the time standing in the long cue on a Sat or Sun morning.

This place has been the gold standard for decades. The tasty, chewy breads of Europe available in Brookline! They have lately been creating wonderful things with Gouda and bacon in them. Breakfast buns that are sticky buns made of croissant dough! Scones that are fresh and slightly chewy and don't leave that pasty film on your tongue that some can!... More

Great quality products. Great variety of breads. Sometimes lines too long. If we see more than 10 people waiting outside (very limited space in the store), we generally will not wait. A wonderful asset for Brookline/Boston. Highly recommend the fruit tarts and the Épi french bread.
