Visited The Publick House after work with some colleagues. The extensive beer list was a fantastic find: there are beers from all corners of the globe available. Our server was well versed in their stock and was able to provide very good recommendations we all enjoyed as we stretched our palettes. The food was good, average pub fare. My one... More

Visited here most recently on a Monday night for dinner & beers at the bar. Our server was very personable--gracious but still "fun." Beer selection is stellar, and the staff is knowledgable without being obnoxious about it. Food is great--mac&cheese is AWESOME (it wins Boston awards, and they are well-deserved), and the veggie burger has an indian-inspired spice base and... More

Enjoy a Belgian draft, or two, or ten! The draft selection is always outstanding. They have good, hardy bar food as well. Try the moules, excellent!!

Better to go early unless you want a crowded scene. Beer choices definitely the best in town, food options pretty mediocre.

I usually visit this restaurant a couple of times a year. The inside is a little on the dark side and can be noisy, but appeals to the younger crowd. I like to visit the restaurant in the summer to get one of the outside tables on Beacon Street, but there were not any available the night I was there.... More

Great local beer selection and nice ambiance ... A little pricey but overall a great place to dine and take in local culture!

Casual, tavern atmosphere with a great list of beers. Menu ranges from salads and sandwiches to standard steak/chop type items, along with mussels, fish and chips and mac and cheese. Friendly staff, solidly good food. The mussels and the seafood stew were particularly good.

Celebrated a family birthday here - we know it fills up so we arrived at 5pm and got an amazing table at the open window, looking out to the outside diners and the Beacon St - loved it! (Though, full disclosure, it got a bit cold so we had to ask to close the window, but still, we loved it!)... More

As everyone will tell you, Publick House has an incredible beer selection, and knowledgeable barmen to serve it. The kitchen bangs out very solid Belgian favorites: mussels, fries, soup, stews, and so forth. The prices aren't super-cheap, but this is Brookline and everything is overpriced; by Brookline standards, the place is pretty inexpensive. But just when you're almost ready to... More
