Don't bother with Barcelona or Fairsted Kitchen. Turn around, walk 200 yards, and relax!

Tried getting into a fancier alternative on a busy Friday night with no luck (and little sympathy from the hostess). Lucked out with 2 prime seats at the The Publick House bar. Enjoyed Allagash Saison, and split the fish and chips and mussels with my wife. A little noisy, but overall a relaxing... read more

Finally! I went out in Boston and got good service . My friend and I sat at the bar and ate dinner. Bartenders were friendly, prompt, and exceeded my expectations. I am pregnant , so I'm one of those annoying people that has to order a "mocktail". She made me a virgin Moscow mule and even gave me a refill.... More

Great beer selection. All kinds of fantastic IPAs and Stouts on tap plus a very good list of hard to find bottles. Easy street parking. Definitely recommend it if you like beer and pub food.

I live in the neighborhood and have eaten here about five times in ten years. This time I went with my son who was visiting. Beer at lunch was $10 a glass and the buffalo sauce on the chicken sandwich was so hot I had to scrape it off. Like I said, the cole slaw was okay. Neither one of... More

Food was great. Bar does not do shots, they do pours (double shots). Fancy, let's get a bunch of bros drunker quicker. Service was okay during the dinner. Really surprised to read people said they were so friendly. Took forever to get our drinks at the bar while we were waiting for a table. By the time the bartender decided... More

Love the ambience and bar food. The beer selection is my pull to that place. It being down the road from me helps too :)

The staff is friendly and helpful without thinking you want to invite them to sit down and talk with them about their lives. They are focused on helping you have a good meal. My wife and I are not beer experts, so we rely on our waiter to help figure out what to try. They put up with our fumbling... More

We stumbled upon this ba,r via google, while staying at the Best western in Brighton on Commonwealth.... so glad we did. We sat outside on a gorgeous Oct. day and our waiter was awesome.. so friendly. The waiter acknowledged the military man in our party and thanked him for his service, which we all appreciated. The food was great, beer... More

There's fries and there's fries: The Monk's Fries here (hand-cut yukon golds dusted with sea salt, served in a paper cone with choice of dips) were excellent, while the thick-spear fries that came with House Smoked Pastrami Rachel (w/gruyere, sauerkraut, 1000 island dressing, marble rye) were dry and bland, although the sandwich was good. Belgian Meatballs (pork, veal, and beef,... More
