Tim and I hit La Morra before a hospital visit the next day and it was a fabulous "night before". He had an excellent chardonnay and I totally fell for one of their special house cocktails (well...two). We split a Primi called "Francobolli Con Salsiccia Di Pollo" which was an amazing house made pasta with house made chicken sausage, local... More

La morra is our go to place whenever we have a really special event to celebrate with our family. We took our son and daughter-in-law out for our baby grandson's first dinner out. From the specialty drinks-- try the La Morra cocktail-- to the variety of small plates to the pasta to the main courses-- all the dishes are extraordinary.... More

I had not been to the location where LaMorra now is since my old days in Brookline. Back in the early 80's, it was Open Sesame, a funky macrobiotic restaurant, famous for its then trendy brown rice, tofu and vegetables. Friends introduced us to La Morra last night and we very much enjoyed it. The service was friendly and excellent,... More

I was staying close to La Morra so I decided to give it a try. And it more than exceeded my expectations. Great ambiance, food and the trio sorbet was the best I've had in a while.

First time here under a recommendation from a friend. Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. The cocktails were top notch, especially the spicy tequila. My only complain is that the bolognese was too salty. Sorry Tom Brady! Also, the francobolli was too oily. But overall, this isn't good experience and quality food.

We were visiting relatives who live in Brookline and they suggested we eat dinner at their favorite neighborhood restaurant, La Morra. I had the pasta with bolognese sauce. So did my wife. We both loved it. The bread was very tasty. The beet salad was outstanding. The portions are large so I suggest you order the smaller size or split... More

Went to La Morra this past weekend after reading great reviews. Was somewhat underwhelmed. Would rate them "good" but that isn't a tripadvisor choice. Nice place, v. good service. Portion size an issue. My wife's salad was nice size; my smoked corn salad with tomatoes was rather small with perhaps 1/2 a tomato in all. Risotto was very good; Corn... More

I ate at La Morra 2 times this week because it is simply the most fresh, creative and friendly Italian restaurant I have visited. EVen In Italy! The staff know their ingredients and Stephanie, the manager goes out of her way to Welcome you and help you through the beautiful wine list. Never stuffy, always relaxing, tasty and light and... This is a find: a superb meal, attractively served, delicious in every respect, and not too expensive.

I visited La Morra for the first time on a Saturday evening for my birthday dinner. The food and atmosphere did not disappoint. I started out with fried sage leaves with anchovy -- delectable, though very slightly oily. My two friends and I enjoyed the exceptionally fresh, well-composed roasted beet salad. My entree, tagliatelle bolognese, was excellent, though I wish... More
