A good choice for an informal dining experience. Menu not too large but has enough variety to make it interesting.Food is well prepared (try the mussels). A good place for lunch or dinner at a reasonable price. They have a good selection of beers and ales. The Abbey is not very large so getting immediate seating on weekends or during... More

The Abbey is a small cozy neighborhood gem. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. Nicole was probably the best server I've had in a long time. She was bright and cheerful and took care of our drink needs and more. It literally felt like you were at her house and she cared about everyone. She was... More

Four of us were greeted by a rude hostess. She was doing you a favor to talk to us. The other couple wanted to leave, not a great impression. We eventually got a place to sit indoors. The menu was varied and all of us tried a different main course. I was impressed with the generous portion of mushroom enchiladas,... More

I go here often and sit at the bar with a friend or two. Great knowledgeable bar-persons. Food is good, changes often, many interesting items. I live close by and I've been here for lunch and dinner many times. It can get crowded and very noisy after 5 pm. If you sit in the dining area service just depends on... More

It's a one mile walk down to the Abbey which we do often because we love the friendly atmosphere and the excellent food. We are always warmly greeted and have a drink while we wait for a table. Everything on the menu is very good but the main dishes we order are the spicy Bison Bolognese, Steak Frites, and Roasted... More

Delicious american food and great choice of drinks. Bar is on first come-first served basis. Pretty dark inside with real candles that create cosy and intimate atmosphere. Great guinnes and amazing Margarita.

We were visiting Brookline for work and tried a few restaurants in the area. We liked the vibe, food and drinks at the Abbey so much we came back twice. It was hard to get an actual table, but sitting at the bar we enjoyed the full menu and prompt service.

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Small restaurant with a few outside tables and fantastic food!

Super friendly staff. Busy little place. Great flatbread pizza. Good Cuban sandwiches. Cold beer. Would return when in the area again.
