Had the pleasure of visiting this place a few times during our Boston trip and it did not disappoint. Lovely staff, JC was about the friendliest Bostonion we met and Damien the friendliest Irishman so a good mix. Great drinks, fantastic food. An all round great vibe. Get a seat outside and enjoy the sun and cocktails. Will definitely return.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Boston when we visit. The food is very good and a fine variety. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. I highly recommend a visit.

Delicious! Loved this place. The food the service, the atmosphere. As I look back on my week, it was the best meal!

Expected more. Great bar scene, but food was mediocre. Service was attentive but not friendly. Very average overall.

Maybe it's just that there are so many top shelf restaurants in the greater Boston area, but I found the Abbey to have perfectly fine food and good service but just not to the level that I can't wait to go back. I most likely will try another new restaurant. The best things we had was the appetizer oven baked... More

This is a small bar/restaurant with an extremely friendly staff and great food. It could easily be overlooked because it is not flashy or very noticeable on the busy Beacon Street; we only noticed it when we sat outside at the adjacent Starbuck's. We could not pick our favorite dish because they were all so delicious! We had: truffle fries,... More

I liked the variety of the small plates and appetizers, but I wasn't blown away by the entree selection. We shared 2 plates, and rather than order an entree I wasn't wowed by, I went with two small plates of my own. All of it was fine, but I was hoping for more based on the soaring reputation. Try it... This place is great. It's definitely an Irish Pub, founded and owned by a lovely Irish gent. But the menu includes much-fancier and truly yummy items than you'll find in your random Irish Pub! You'll love the food. The chef and cooks are excellent. So is the wait staff. The Abbey is relatively small, and can be crowded (and you... More

Met my son and girlfriend for lunch. We were seated quickly by a friendly waitress. The menu is not particularly large but what they offered still felt numerous. We shared a grilled romaine lettuce with a wonderful ceasar dressing. We also had mussels with frites. I am not a mussels fan but these were prepared perfectly and had a nice... More
