Arrived in Boston and the first night we found The Abbey. It was busy but we found a table by the window. The service was very good, a drink arrived within no time, a lovely pint of wheat beer. The food was excellent, a good...More

The Abbey has an excellent kitchen with much higher quality dishes than you would expect from a pub, good beer selection too. Really recommend it.

Really like the ambiance of this place, but it is so small and the service was slow. My drink + dinner was delicious, though. And I recommend the cod fritters appetizer - although small, it was tasty.

Food was very surprising noting the bar ambience with poor lighting. Looked a bit of a dive when entering. Staff were great. Music in the background (Clash and that genre) perfect. Did I say the food was excellent. Will definitely return.

Try the bison bolognese. We shared twice during our three-day stay just down the road. Easy to get to from the "T."

Nice place with a great menu. Good service. Have enjoyed our stay here. It’s an area with a lot of good restaurants. We also enjoyed Barcelona which is on the opposite side of the road.

They don’t take reservations at all. Be prepared to put your name down for a table as soon as you walk in the door, and have a drink at the bar while you wait.
