Excellent pho. Good value

Had 1 serving of pork 'spring rolls' for 2 people and we each had chicken pho. Food tasted excellent. One of the best pho broths I've had. $11 for the pho. Very prompt service. Definitely enjoyable.

Consistently Good Vietnamese Fare

We have eaten here a few times in the past two months. It's very reliable. I've had a few varieties of pho and all of them have been served hot, very flavorful, with fresh vegetables on the side. We have also tried some of their rice and noodle dishes, which are average. We had the potstickers once and they tasted like they were frozen out of a bag and fried in a wok before being served. Wouldn't do that again. However, the pho is very good and the grilled chicken and pork have been quite good. Recommend.

Great service. Pho is fantastic. Several options, cooked perfectly. It’s in a strip mall, so not fancy, but who cares, the pho is great!

New spot for us - but won't be returning

Popped in for quick lunch before medical appt. Sadly, the waitress' description of curry soup was not correct; it was NOT mild - it was really hot & too spicy! Had to order a small bowl of chicken w/broth & vermicelli instead - very bland. Spouse had sweet chicken dish w/rice. Chicken was super tough but he liked the flavors. Was disappointed in how they handled my order; though I was in a rush, I'd have comped the small entree they offered just for the 'pain' the first bowl of soup caused. Don't plan to return.

Below average food and poor service

I have dined at this restaurant for the past six years and the food and service are worse and now below average. I ate there today with my husband and it will be the last time. The prices increased and the food taste, quality decreased. We were served water in a used dirty glass with mouth marks and the waiter had a rude attitude. They are now overpriced which I would happily pay for good food and service, Pho Vi Van is not worth trying again.

This place has a rather attractive interior which I think might be at the big appeal for most people who just don't seem to know any better. The soup is Bland and lifeless and the fried Goods a bit greasy. There better choices around town unless you're just trying to impress someone with atmosphere.

Our favorite pho in Vancouver

We go here frequently and this last time I tried the peanut chicken soup. It had just the right amount of heat and will be what I want next time I get sick.

Best vegetarian Pho ever!

We loved this small storefront restaurant in a strip mall. We started with excellent Vegetarian Salad Rolls - covered by rice paper and filled with very tasty tofu. We followed that each with Vegetarian Pho chock full of veggies and that same marinated tofu and rice noodles. The broth was superb. A separate plate held mung bean sprouts, chili peppers, lime, and lots of very fresh Thai basil. Service was excellent.

Hit the Spot!!

Travelling between the States of Oregon & Washington the last few days, wanted to have a hot bowl of Pho as the weather cooled down to warm our souls. After searching on Yelp, found this lovely little Pho shop in Vancouver, WA. The place is nicely decorated and has a warm feeling, especially the booth tables, the bamboo partition give diners a bit of privacy. Ordered two bowls of noodle soups: The House Special Pho: Very rich beef broth! With immense depth, spice and sweetness are well balanced. Pho was cooked to perfection and has a nice bounce to it! Bun Bo Hue: Spicy, rich, filled with lemon grass fragrance, the beef shank slices are cooked just to the right consistency, the only thing that's missing from most of the BBH nowadays are the Pig's Trotters & the Pork's Blood to make it authentic, but I guess it has to adjust to the wider audiences' taste and I am beginning to get used to that trend now Oh, the noodles are slightly over cooked here hope they will take note of that. Overall, still a very solid bowl of BBH! As I always say, when travelling in the States, it's almost impossible to find any towns without a Pho shop now, and their standards are pretty good too and some are even outstanding!!

This place never disappoints!

I have been here many, many times for work lunches, personal lunches and dinners. I have tried many dishes including the Pho, Bun and specialty dishes. You can get egg noodles in your pho, but its not as good as the rice noodles. For a change, order the spicy broth that comes in some of their signature soups in your pho for a substitution.

Our kids’ favorite!

We’ve been to Pho Vi Van twice in the last couple of weeks. Both times I’ve had the veggie salad rolls and vegetarian pho. Both delicious, though the second time I had them hold the cabbage and book choy. My boys get the kids sized pho (one steak and one meatball) and the LOVE it. They also get milkshakes with their dinners, so I’m sure that helps with their enthusiasm, lol. Speaking of milkshakes, we only order one and they split it for us. The people who work there are very nice and family oriented. We’ll definitely return again and again.

One of the best Pho Restaurants in the Couve

This pho restaurant rivals Pho Le across the street in East Vancouver. I believe their menu is a little more extensive. Pho, for me, is all about the broth. Pho Vi Van’s broth is dark, rich in flavor and delicious. It’s now a coin flip as to which restaurant to go to for Pho. Both are great.

The accompanying basil, lime and sprouts are always crisp because they’re so fresh. Other restaurants do not do well with this.

Very pleasant surroundings. Pleasant staff. Rapid response to all needs. I got the vegetarian pho soup and it was excellent. I got the spicy would and it was mild and perfectly seasoned. Lemon water was delivered without asking. The spring rolls were very good. The peanut sauce was wonderful. My sister said hers was excellent as well.
