Delightful place

We had a lovely dinner at the Grant House. The historic setting is charming and the food and service was good. My steak was flavorful but a little tough. Everything else we ordered was quite good. Reservations are a good idea as I think this place is quite busy. A meal here would be a fine way to... read more

We really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place and the history. Came here for lunch and surprised at the very limited selection. I settled on the Ceasar w/ Blackened Salmon and the salad was good, the little piece of salmon was exceptionally tasty. My girlfriend had a pumpkin pasta dish she didn't care for. The server was friendly and did... More

A wonderful place. Had Salmon for lunch. I kept getting bugged by a spirit named David. I later realized it was David Douglas one of the first people on the Ft Vancouver site. He named the Douglas Fir.

I love going to the Grant House for bluegrass, and the food is very good. The wine choices are adequate. However, the way they priced whiskey last time I was there (by the ounce, and expensive) made ordering a drink more complicated than it usually is. Wish they would serve a typical 1 1/2 or 2 ounce pour at a... More

The atmosphere was great, each room has so much history to it. The staff was very attentive and the food was delicious. The menu had something for everyone and their extensive whisky selection made my husband happy.

Met another couple for Happy Hour.Wonderful Historic building decorated for the holidays. The bar area room is somewhat small but with comfortable seating. The service was fine as were the drinks. At 6pm when the music started it was evident that patrons in the room expected silence and attentiveness to the music. In such a small intimate setting that is understandable.I recognize that most... Dining at The Grant House is always a pleasant experience - the staff is friendly and professional and the location is lovely. Eating outside on the porch or the patio is the best. Enjoying the lovely tree filled view and feeling like you've stepped back in time is fun. The food is tasty and easy on the pocketbook.

Excellent food and service. Lots of ambiance and Fort Vancouver charm. Enjoy lunch outside on the porch or back patio when the weather's nice.

I must echo Dee's review. In the past we have enjoyed this restaurant. We even hosted a large dinner party here three years ago, and the food and service were excellent. The person involved with helping us arrange the gathering was excellent as well. Recently, we went to The Grant House and were treated so rudely by the staff that... More

Looking for a cozy historical ambiance to enjoy on a special occasion or just a night out then this might be a good spot but you should read on before making up your mind. Don't go for the food though, it's not awful but not the best either. The bar is very small and they have live music on some... More
