The staff was friendly, the view was great and the food was amazing. They got really busy toward the end of our meal and the service got kinda slow but it appeared that they were short staffed so it was not our servers fault.

We were told “about 20 minutes” but we left after an hour. 20 minutes after that they texted me to say my order was ready. That’s an hour and 40 minutes instead of 20. That’s crazy. This place must be very poorly managed.
Excellent Food & Ales! We sat a the bar and ate a late lunch. The Cajun Tater Tots taste yummy, with a good crunch without the greasy touch. Steak Bites with the cheese fondue is good if you want to skip the carbs on a...bun. The Hamburgers are first class smashable to get in your mouth. I had the fruity Purple Haze Ale.More
Stopped here for lunch. Food was good. The kids menu is limited, pricey, and portions are small. The fish and chips was one fish piece for $8, and not fully cooked. The adult meals were good, but the clam chowder could have been thicker with...more clam. Consider "Beaches" that shares the parking lots. Less cost. Good food.More
Visited a couple of weeks ago, and everything went right. Even though it was a Saturday evening was able to easily find a place to park, had a short wait for an outside table (enjoying the river and city lights), and then had wonderful service...and food. The sandwiches were good and the salad was too big! Would heartily recommend.More
I ordered steak bites. They were overcooked and extremely dry. I won't return it's way to expensive.
My family was in town for a funeral service for my parents. We had a group of 14 and Whitney (a server) really rocked it. Whitney made sure that we were all comfortable, our drinks were full and our food was promptly delivered. She did...an awesome job. Thankyou, Whitney!More
The foods was great. My kids and I when to celebrate my birthday and it was amazing. At the end I got a free ice cream cookie.
Another sensational dining experience at McMenamins! Yes indeed, McMenamins is turning into one of my favorite places to visit. Today we started with the spinach and artichoke dip, yum! Followed by a beer flight, the barbecued pulled pork sandwich and the pecan and Gorgonzola salad....My mom in law had the fish and chips again She really enjoyed them. Everything was terrific. Did we really need to do the dieters unthinkable and have dessert? Well, yes! He had the carrot cake and I had the black and white brownie = Divine and decadent! Thank you CJ for providing wonderful service, we’ll see you again I’m sure.More
We love the view of the Columbia River as we enjoy our beer an food. I don’t think we’ve every been disappointed at our choices. But, my favorite time is when they release their Fall Menu! I try to fit in as many trips as...possible for their Pumpkin-Chicken Mole Enchiladas, I love them and I don’t like pumpkin. For a short time I have the Black Widow Porter with my meal but it’s a a popular beer and goes fast.More
Two of us, my Wife and I had lunch at McMenamins on the Columbia. We sat outside and the view of the Columbia was very nice. We had two beers and one turkey sandwich that we shared the bill was $34.00 including the tip. Service...was very spotty, after being seated and after a wait I had to go inside to request service. The beers and sandwich were good. Although it seemed a bit expensive. Paying for the location is what it seems.More
Stopped here to meet with friends as we were passing thigh town, (road trip). What a great find! Gorgeous view on the water, beautiful day, friendly server and good food. Shared the turkey cranberry sandwich and other in the group got clam chowder and calamari...app, and a burger. All great! The Cajun tots are excellent! The regular ones good, but if your deciding which one, pick Cajun, for sure! Nothing but good things to say.More
This is the first time I've had an unpleasant meal at a McMenamins. We went early in the evening mid-week and everything we ordered was sub-par: fish and chips that were overly battered and soggy, soup that had no flavor and was no better than...canned soup, and a rice bowl that had too much raw onion in it - onion that had clearly not been fresh cut because it had a sour taste that lingered after dinner and overpowered everything else. We had never been to this location before so we didn't question it when we were seated at a booth in the tiny bar area. The men at the bar had to move out of the way so we could be seated; once seated they were so close it was almost as though they were sitting with us. Behind us were the restrooms, the bar too close on one side and the doors to a parking lot on the other side; loud music behind us. I have no idea why a quiet older couple would be seated in that location when there were plenty of empty tables, some by the windows overlooking the river. By the time we had looked around the restaurant and realized how dismal our location was we didn't have the energy to try to be relocated. We had already decided we won't go back.More
There were five of us eating here for the first time. We have eaten at a number of local McMenamins and this was certainly up to their standards. Many of their locations are in old schools or other "retro" facilities. This location was newly-built next...to the Columbia River on the site of an old major shipyard. The interior was comfortable, nicely furnished with a lot of old pictures of the shipyard and also furnished with other antiques and artifacts. The menu had a lot of good offerings, including for kids and gluten free. They also had a weekly specials menu with great variety. Service was very good. A little slow as it was very crowded on a Saturday. Can't go wrong with these folks.More
Our first stop here and very pleased. Bangers and mash was great. Clam chowder rich and tasty. Service great and fast.
