Had reservations bit did not need them. Usually at 630 on a Saturday night is busy but not this Saturday. Started with greens and dried calamari. Done perfect. Unlimited garlic toast is the best! The prime rib was very good served with garlic mashed potatoes and carrots. Ordered the queen cut and was suppose to be 16 oz closer to... More

Food came out of the kitchen with a fly on the food. Captured the fly and showed the fly to the waitress. Asked her to get rid of the fly, her comment was she would not touch the fly and walked away. I showed the fly to one of the manager, his comment was it was a lucky catch. Check... More

While taking the scenic Adirondack route from Vermont to the Finger Lakes we were most fortunate to stop at the Savoy Restaurant in Rome, NY. The service was excellent; the shrimp cocktail was the best I have ever eaten; the chicken parmigiana was tasty, generous portion equal to any I have eaten elsewhere, a crisp fresh green salad and the... Excellent Italian food, High Quality, has not changed in the 30 years I've been eating there. Makes a trip to Rome a real pleasure.

We were pleasantly surprised upon entering the Savoy. It has a beautiful bar area with historical pictures on all of the walls. There is a large dining room and a large covered patio & bar area outside. The warm bread served with our salads was to die for. We ordered fried calamari which was crunchy & tasty. Also ordered clams... More

My wife and I were fortunate enough to happen upon this historic restaurant in Rome NY. What a great place to eat. They have a very friendly and professional staff, very knowledge about the menu, as well as the history of Rome. The food was absolutely to die for !! This elegant, classic Italian American cuisine restaurant right on the... More

My wife and I used to frequent the savoy for their Chicken Riggies and lasagna. Well, evidently they changed cooks some time ago and the taste and quality were compromised. Just not what it used to be. Just not the same flavor, and like a great deal of other places, it seems they have gone to cheaper ingrediants to maintain... More

We went here for dinner while staying in the area and were not disappointed! We had to wait a little while but were able to do so at the bar. Our service was great and the food was great too. My husband ranted and raved about the filet he got and I really enjoyed my pasta dish. The live piano... More

Went there for dinner on Saturday. There were 4 of us. The greens were fabulous. Everyone's meals arrived at the same time and were delicious. Service was very good. I would advise any going to make reservations. It was very busy. Very enjoyable.
