While eating there in December we had several cock roaches pop out from under the metal roof sheeting they use as lower wall décor and run into the next little low spot in the sheeting. I was amused .... my hunting friend was not humored and wanted to leave!!!

Whenever i go through Fort Scott i love to swing into sugarfoot and peaches for the pulled pork sandwich, or the ribs, or the carrot cake, or just about anything on the menu. Thanks guys, and girls, keep up the good work!

Don't be fooled by the outside - it's odd and eclectic - just like the inside. But it's the only true BBQ place in town. Ate there many times, with good brisket, pulled pork, sausage smoked turkey, a variety of sauces on the table. The nachos overflow the plate. Never disappointed when we wanted BBQ and were thankful that we... More

I just had lunch at another local joint and was heading out and saw this joint. I actually decided to turn around and stop and was glad I did. Just got some ribs to go. Inside was just a gem, small, very eclectic, warm and cosy. Lots of memorabilia, odds and ends and antique items. Ribs were dry rubbed and... More

One of the hidden gems in this small town. From the outside, it looks a little run down, but don't let the appearance fool you. The food is simply awesome... the ribs - perfect - the BBQ sauces - secret.... the staff, extremely friendly... a MUST RE-VISIT whenever your in town.

We from the Omaha area (four hours away) just to eat here. It was so worth it. I had the BBQ Pork which was melt in mouth good. I topped it off with the sweet BBQ sauce. My sister had the hottest sauce. We appreciated the fact that we could choose. We hope to go back to the Sugarfoot &... More

We stopped because of the name, and because we would love to find a great bbq place in the area. After looking over the menu, I knew I was going to pay more than I had expected for lunch. Food was nothing to rave about but good, and portions were small. I expect a little more food for the price... More

Barbecue shack with great brisket. Don't expect fancy. Barbecue is served on a tray. Brisket is moist with good smoke flavor. Mix the sweet and signature sauces for something special.

We stopped here after visiting the Old Fort Scott historic area. The waitress was kind enough to accommodate my 8 year old picky eater. We had pulled pork, sliced brisket and burnt ends. All very good. My only negative comment is they were a little slow, but I think they may have been doing a large to go order at... More

Love this little place. It will surprise you. Best bbq ever. Very tender meaty ribs. The turkey is to die for. Moist and tender. Pulled pork. Yum. Oh an don't forget the nachos. They tell me the pies are home made. But I'm always be too full to try.
