Another local find while passing through town. I walked the historic downtown section, all of 3 blocks and decided to stop in here. Real quaint downtown by the way, reminds me of the small towns you'd see in movies. The setting inside was very unassuming with pictures from the past. I got the homemade chili with everything on it. Absolutely... More

We have now stopped here four times this year just to eat the broasted chicken. It is quite excellent.

Came to Ft Scott for granddaughters play and stopped just by chance. The broasted chicken was wonderful. Came with mashed potatoes, corn, and roll, all for $6.50. Will make sure to come here again.

Traveling to Kansas City and needed to have dinner. So glad we got off the main road just to try this little local place. The food was good! Fried chicken meal was spot on! Didn't have room for pie, but maybe next time!

Stopped here on the way home. A very old classic grill, has a bar to sit at. We sat with people who were locals, this place has obviously been here a long time. I had a cheese burger and curly fries, and my daughter had a full order of biscuits and gravy, there were both amazing.

Went there for pie after eating at another restaurant. I'm not a local but sure wish we had something like this back home. It was the Homiest place. I just loved it. Went back for breakfast the next day. Good food and great value. They make their own pies. mmm. apple and cherry was what we had.

Food is good - Old fashioned and maybe a little on the greasy side, but the service is very friendly. Reminds me of the typical small town diner where everybody knows everybody... nothing special, but very popular with the locals.

I was born and raised in this town and the Nu Grille has been her forever....The service is exceptional and they have good ole' greasy hamburgers and curly fries...Homemade pies also. They are American through and through with the waitresses wearing T-shirts that say "We support our troops" Just good small town eats.
