Sat at a nice table with a dutiful waiter; however, the veal was prepared and frozen. A disappointment for a $22+ plate.

It was mostly our fantastic server, and the top-notch service he provided, that saved our expensive dinner at Corleone's from being simply "meh." Listen, I'm Italian, I'm a pretty good home cook, and so I am rightly tough on Italian restaurants, especially in a tourist-heavy...location like Savannah and ESPECIALLY in a city with as many incredible restaurants as Savannah. Italian food is not difficult to do well -- laziness and stinginess are usually the reasons an Italian restaurant starts slipping in a busy tourist town. Corleone's could be a lot better if the interior / decor were updated some and the portions were slightly larger, especially for appetizers, and if the entrees were seasoned or salted at all. We had the bruschetta appetizer, and the menu said it came with crostini. The bread wasn't even toasted (Who does that??), and the pieces were so small the tomatoes were falling off of it when we tried to eat it. The calamari app portion size was so small for the $12 price I couldn't believe it. I ordered a meatball parmesan sandwich, which was prepared sort of like a grilled cheese with sauce and sliced meatballs in it; it came with a salad and my caesar was nothing to write home about. I could see the cheese had that plasticky look of packaged cheese bought in bulk, and the croutons were also standard issue packaged fare ... come on y'all, freshly grated parmesan cheese is NOT difficult to do in the kitchen, and same with making your own croutons. The sandwich needed salt and pepper badly but was mostly ok. I skipped dessert but ordered a cappuccino, and it came in a glass mug that was as big as my head. Finally something that was worth the price! Gah. All in all, it was okay, it wasn't awful. It was just expensive ($150 including tip for 3 adults and 1 child). We went because it was within walking distance of our hotel. If it isn't for you, I suggest going somewhere else. Savannah is a food city and there are hundreds of fabulous restaurants everywhere you turn.More

Overall - Average at best, so many places to eat in Savannah I probably won't go back. Food - Table bread was some sort of frozen reheated thing, not baked. The appetizer fried calamari was basic, not flavorful, and was a skimpy portion. Dinner was...lasagna with meat sauce with a side Caesar salad, the lasagna was a healthy portion but nothing to write home about, the side Caesar was sadly the best part of my meal the dressing had robust flavors and they used seasoned croutons. My son had the chicken Caesar as his main entree and loved it. I had no interest in their deserts. Service - Andrew was very pleasant, engaged well with the family, and was on top of things. Location/Ambiance - good corner location on a main street. The interior was dated and dark. Both the interior and the exterior could use some tlc. They either do not have a working AC system or did not care to use it, do not go here on a hot day.More

The "occasion" was treating our granddaughter to dinner. She is a student at SCAD and she picked the restaurant (we live in Charleston and were unfamiliar with restaurants in Savannah). She picked a winner! We made reservations and asked for a quiet table. Voila! It...happened. Our waiter, Paul, appeared immediately and put us at ease, especially our granddaughter. We all ordered salads to start and garlic breadsticks came too. Our entrees were seafood/pasta, chicken parm and vegetarian lasagna (our granddaughter). Wine for the adults. Paul checked in with us regularly and dessert was his finest moment. Our granddaughter wanted something sweet but was unfamiliar with Italian desserts. Paul suggested the cannoli and it was a huge portion and a huge hit. She could only eat half, so Paul had the second one wrapped to take back to her dorm as well as a nice box of hot breadsticks. Just what she needed!! She was happy and so were we. Very low key atmosphere and a feeling of "family". We'll be back.More

The service was terrible, waiter was very slow and inattentive. Never received our appetizer, were not offered a refill for our water or asked if we wanted another drink and had to ask for bread twice. I ordered the veal parm, my go to in...any Italian restaurant so I know good veal, theirs was terrible. Veal patties were small, overcooked and I question how much real veal was in the patties, which I believe were frozen. I gave it two stars only because the other in my party were somewhat pleased, but not overwhelmed, with their mealsMore

We attempted to eat here the first night in Savannah but there were no reservations available. We made one for the next evening. We were so glad we did. True authentic Italian food and decor. The garlic cheese bread is to die for. Please get...them, in fact get two orders if there are more than 3 of you. Highly recommend eating here. We totally stuffed ourselves and then get the dessert trio of tiramisu, cannoli, and cheesecake. Just a wonderful experience overall!More

The food was great but the staff was better. Our waiter was amazing and made sure we had the best anniversary dinner possible. I had the herb crusted salmon and it was amazing.

We’ve had more authentic Italian from the frozen food section of Walmart. We will never return here for another meal. Our worst meal in Savannah ever.

Tried this restaurant recommended by many. Unfortunately for our experience, it was an epic failure. The bread was stale and tasted like week old bread that had sat out waiting to be donated to the homeless shelter (and I would have been embarassed to feed...it to homeless people.) Pats of butter in little packets were melted and reconstituted. The lettuce was wilted and brown. The tomato sauce tasted like some ketchup they got from Big Lots and squeezed on the pasta. My husband and I had looked forward to this for a couple of months, but it was a really sad birthday dinner for him. He honestly commented that he wished we had just stayed home and he thought it was a "gag" gift. I had to get him something extra special to make up for this dinner. Disgusting would be a compliment to this place. The ONLY reason I'm giving it two stars was our very pleasant server Maggie. She was very nice and tried her best to make it a decent experience. If the food has been even a quarter as good as the service, it would have been a 4 star rating.More

We went to Savannah a few times several years ago, and discovered this nice trattoria. We went there for dinner and it was still very nice. The food is excellent, staff is very nice. A good place to eat.

DO NOT GO THERE! We went there for lunch based on someone’s recommendation but it was the worst experience we’ve ever had. The server Paul greets us after a good waiting time with his arms crossed. We put an appetizer order asking for a few...more minutes to order food. That was a mistake because we didn’t see our server again for another 25 minutes. Or rather, we see him walking around without coming to us (mind you he only had one other table). The appetizer (bruschetta) was ok. Finally Paul comes to us and we place our order. We barely then got their complimentary bread. The food finally arrived and it was honestly awful. My chicken parmigiana was distasteful as if it came straight from the freezer. My boyfriend’s flatbread was just awful. He ate it just because we were honestly starving. The waiter came to check on us after a while and asked how the food is and I explained how bad it tastes. He apologized and took away my plate saying he will see if he can comp it (there was well over half of the meal still unfinished). We gave him our card not wanting to wait another 30 minutes for him to come back. We later checked the bill and we weren’t refunded for anything. We went to speak to the manager who turns out is also a cook in the kitchen. He apologized for our experience and we were supposed to be refunded for my meal. At the end we still paid the original bill and now we’re worried there’s going to be a second charge. It was my birthday and genuinely it ruined my day. Do not go there! Save your money and go literally anywhere else!More

Had bruschetta and a chicken based flatbread. The bruschetta could have been better if they had toasted the bread and added more balsamic vinegar. The flatbread was tasty. Server was very friendly and offered suggestions to see while in Savannah.

I ordered the chicken parm and my friend had the salmon. The chicken parm was perfect. The pasta needed more sauce but was tasty. This was a relief because when I tasted the sauce they gave with the bread, it tasted like tomato soup. My...friend said the salmon was the best she had tasted in a while. It was on top of mixed veggies and pasta. The food is reasonably priced.More
