Gryphon was a perfect little place for a lunch break. It was on the pricier side, but the atmosphere in an old apothecary was really neat, and fun!

Fantastic real loose leaf tea with great gourmet sandwiches. We loved the smoked salmon and pimento cheese sandwiches. The setting itself is worth stopping in for, old books and a restored pharmacy wooden bar environment was both relaxing and stimulating.

We got to Savannah just in time for lunch. This was a great place. Beautiful and historic, this old apothecary shop was purchased by Savannah College of Art and Design and made into a tea shop (no alcoholic beverages). Great lunches are served. Decorated with thousands of books, old Tiffany lamps and so many historical items to look at while... More

I was sort of an unwilling visitor to this tea room as a part of a family group visiting the city. They all came to the brewpubs, the least I could do was go to the tea room. I have to say, I was blown away by the food. Whoever is in the kitchen knows what they are doing. The... More

First, on the menu, the amazing history of the apothecary. Thank you Reanu. Then came the more than welcome lemonade after a few hours walk. Last but not least, our delicious entrée, the organic chicken breast with a creamy shiitake and crimini mushroom Marsala sauce topped with grilled asparagus and roasted red potatoes. The decor is just so special. What... More

This was such a fun experience. This was my first time having tea in a formal tea room and I just loved it! The sandwiches were fantastic and the tea was incredible. I would recommend checking this place out.

Definitely "tea room" food but even my carnivorous husband found something he enjoyed and suggested going there again the following day. Great service, historical, beautiful, and food was excellent.

We came here for Sunday brunch and luckily arrived right in time to get a table for two outside. Reservations are evidently suggested at that time and day of the week. We contemplated ordering their traditional tea, but their brunch menu was so delectable we decided to do a bit of both. I would definitely recommend the earl grey specialty... More

Gryphon Tea Room has a unique vibe stemming from its past as an old school pharmacy and sofa fountain. Our server was great, loved the Georgia peach tea and it was a solid meal.
