A nice rainy afternoon in Savannah was a rainbow for us as Leopold’s was not very crowded. This establishment can experience long waits on weekends and hot days. The staff is so very gracious and friendly. They are following all of the Covid protocols here....We actually got to eat our ice cream IN the store. Rich, creamy goodness since the early 1900’s. Stop here if you are in the mood for a Savannah treat!!More

We visited twice and ordered ice cream to go. Our favorite flavors were the Honey Almond & Cream and Lemon Custard. If there is a line, don't be deterred -- it moves quickly AND it's worth the wait!

It was really good and they had a good variety. Although the line looks long to get in, it was a short 20 minutes. Don't let it deter you.More

Delicious hand made ice cream with flavors not found in most ice cream shops! The line outside can be intimidating, but it's worth the wait for more than ample offerings to choose from, made with their delicious ice cream. I recommend the tutti fruity on...a sugar cone.More

Dear Bamafan: Thanks so much for the kind words! You are correct, we make our ice cream by hand in small batches per my Dad's recipes, with only the finest ingredients. Tutti Frutti is one of his "classic" flavors that he started making in 1919....More

Dear Ami: Thanks so much for visiting Leopold's! The marble soda fountain is the second one my Dad installed, this one in the 1930s. The film posters and props are from my "day job" of producing movies. I appreciate your kind words. We make our...More

The wait was so long but SO worth it! The staff offered us water since the line extended outside on a hot day. They were very careful due to Covid. I got a waffle cone with 1 scoop of coconut and 1 scoop of mocha...coffee chip. Would wait in line again for it!More
