Worth a visit. Excellent service and very good food. Attentive. Pretty restaurant. Scallops perfectly cooked. Shrimp and grits unusual - shrimp had bbq sauce. Very tasty. Good wine descriptions nothing negative to say.

She Crab soup, Pecan Encrusted Flounder, Oyster's Rockefeller, Pear and Blue Cheese Salad was excellent and of a quality that lived up to the cost. The service was prompt and attentive.

We had dinner at Vics with a large group of friends so it may have been the numbers of us that reduced the experienced. The food was very good and enjoyable, although I would say slightly over rated given the price. Our waiter was distracted and took a while to warm up. As a Savannah institution Vics is worth going... Vic's is a lovely restaurant. Went for lunch. Had poached pear salad. It was delicious. My husband had the farm raised beef burger. Also excellent. We shared a bottle of their house wine. Great value. You can enter from below on the river side. You enter an old warehouse and take elevator up. Doesn't look like much until the elevator... More

Had a great meal with friends here, and the staff was great about letting us take up two tables out front. I recommended this place to my picky parents on their recent trip to Savannah. The view, and the people-watching, is great!

The food was great but service was too rushed. Salads came one or two minutes after the wine. Food arrived just as the salads were being finished. The whole place was quite noisy, the room where we were seated was about 12 by 20. When other groups arrived there were 19 people seated very close together, the noise level rose... More

The lunch menu is a close mimic of the dinner menu. Husband had the redfish with Lima beans and the beans were spot on southern deliciousness. Tasted like they had been slow cooked in a ham hock broth with sweet onions. The redfish was tender and flavorful. I chose shrimp and grits - I always do when it is an... More

Reservations a must. Treated like royalty. They knew we were cekebrating a birthday and my son was catered to. Amazing cuisine. The chef sent a complimentary slice of praline cheesecake to my son. We will be back!

Our friends and us had dinner at this fine restaurant in Savannah. The food choices were excellent and the food was sumptuous. Our wine choices were excellent and very enjoyable and paired with our dinners superbly. We would recommend this fine restaurant for the service, the food, and the location. It was not an expensive place to have an evening... More

I love Vic's On the River. It's romantic and sexy at the same time. Great food and service. The filet mignon is superb. And the meatloaf is comforting and prepare to take some home. It's a lot. Great cocktails too. Love the cocktail and wine menu which is displayed on a iPad Mini. It not only gives the drink selections,... More
