Driftaway Cafe was created out of the desire to serve the surrounding neighborhoods and businesses fresh local seafood in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Our vision was to offer our guests a quick bite to "eat out" or the opportunity to stay and "dine" whether or not it is a quick taco with a cold beer or one of our featured nightly entrees with a nice bottle of wine. We were set to open on September 11th, 2001! What a horrible day that was for all Americans. We postponed our opening so that terrible day would not be our anniversary. Covid Precautions seem to be in place but the staff is still efficient and friendly. (I would not like having to work all day wearing a mask). Food is always fresh, yes prepared, very hot, and good

Good food. Our family's favorites were the crab dip, tuna, and blueberry salmon. One person got shrimp enchiladas and said they weren't good. I would go back. We took 4 adults and 3 small kids and felt welcome.

Anyone one is welcome, couples, family, friends, business, or solo. Service is top notch. Food is yummy and a wide variety to choose from. Lots of seafood choices, but choices for those not into seafood. Check it out.

The wait was too long. The hostess came over when I motioned to her to inquire about a server and didn’t offer to get one but make excuses that they were so busy. The fried green tomatoes were not good and again the wait for...More

Sorry Becky1161 that you did not find the wait worth it. During this pandemic it has been difficult to properly staff and the extra steps we are taking to be sure each guests is served in a safe and sanitary environment does slow us down...More

Yes, they could accommodate 20 people, but you should call ahead and reserve, since it's a popular local place that will fill up if you don't reserve for a large group.
