The food and service are both excellent! I visited twice, once on my own for lunch and once as part of a business group for dinner. Between the two visits, I had fried green tomatoes, smoked haddock salad, Cole slaw, shrimp po boy, wedge salad,...crab cake, Mac n cheese, white chocolate bread pudding. All were excellent! Only complaint is the the bread pudding came whipped topping, not real whipped cream. But the bourbon sauce was delicious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The location is in City Market which has shops, and lively activities (e.g. live music).More

Visited with 3 friends. We all ordered different foods and shared. We had fried green tomatoes, calamari, and mussels for appetizers and the red snapper, shrimp and grits, scallops, salmon entrees. Everything was great! Worth the prices.

While walking the amazing city of Savannah, Ga., my sisters and I got caught up in a heavy downpour and found our shelter at Belford’s Seafood and Steak. Never mind they were closed. The owner, Mr. Kevin McPherson, invited us into the restaurant and while...we waited it out, treated us to their melt-in-your-mouth fried green tomatoes and white chocolate bread pudding with whiskey sauce. Both were DELICIOUS! The fried green tomatoes melt in your mouth-there’s a special step they take for this deliciousness. Mr. McPherson’s southern warmth and hospitality included his instructions to leave though the back door to avoid the water filled City Market St. (It should be noted he was leaving the restaurant with his umbrella to help someone out!) aside from his generosity, the ambiance is lovely with Jazz playing softly in the background. The menu is upscale and varied-something for everyone. Mr. McPherson is a very, very kind man with a wonderful restaurant!More

During our sister’s trip in Savannah we were caught in a torrential downpour and found shelter at Belford’s Seafood and Steaks. The staff was so generous to invite us in even though they were closed. We thought “southern hospitality at its best” but it turned...out to be so much more. The fried green tomatoes were to die for, and the white chocolate bread pudding with Jim Beam whiskey sauce was divine! The kindness and generosity of the staff and Kevin McPherson will leave a positive impression and wonderful memory for our annual sisters trip. We are planning a trip with our husbands and Belford’s will be at the top of our restaurant list. The kindness of strangers - pass it on!More

Hard to believe they get this kind of pricing based on what we were served. 3 out of n my party ordered steaks and they all were undercooked. Normally this isn't a problem for me but this time it was still cold in the center...and filled with fat and gristle. The fourth guest ordered the pork chop and reported it being tough and over-cooked. Go figure. Service was good.More

From the greeting at the front door through the entire dinner, the staff was extremely attentive and courteous. The salmon was grilled perfectly. Such a delicious dinner in historic Savannah.

My wife and I made reservations weeks ago and we were looking forward to a good meal in a romantic atmosphere. Our table was in a separate dining area where 2 large parties were celebrating birthdays so the intimate setting was lacking. The waiter was...not attentive and seemed to disappear when needed. We both started the evening with drinks and they hit the spot. Our appetizers were jumbo shrimp cocktail and steamed mussels. The shrimp cocktail was yummy but my mussels were not good at all. The tomato broth the mussels came in was horrible and I could only eat a small portion. I can't recommend the mussels and I'll order another appetizer next time. The entrees were grilled salmon with gouda grits and sautéed spinach plus beef short ribs, mashed potatoes and root vegetables. The entrees were delicious and we were very happy with our choices. Also fresh hot bread in olive oil was brought to the table and that was so good. Overall the dining experience was good except for the mussels and a less than friendly waiter. Belford's didn't quite live up to our expectations but we were satisfied and will return in the future.More

We were thrilled with the food and service (thank you Brittany) at Belfords. I must mention the fantastic bottomless mimosas, too! This restaurant in City Market is a must-try. What a find!

I don’t usually write reviews, but this place requires the exception. I couldn’t think of a better place to spend a leisurely couple of hours on a Sunday morning than sitting atBelfords for brunch. My wife had the Crab Benedict and I had the Seafood...Frittata, and let’s not forget the bottomless mimosas! The food was delicious. The staff was wonderful ( shout out to Zhakyiah, our server) and we were able to sit out on the patio. This place makes any visit to Savannah, GA memorable,More

We were is Savannah for four days and had four meals (two lunches and two dinners) at Belfords. That is a testament to the great food and service. They were very accomodating to special dietary requests and just overall pleasant. Kevin, co-owner, wait staff, bar...staff, chefs and hostesses all exuded Southern hospitality. The restaurant is located next to the Franklin Square right at the start of Market City. Check out the Franklin Square Haitian Monument as well.More

We were visiting Savannah for the first time and only had a few hours there. We stopped at Belford for lunch. We were seated right away as there were only a few people in the restaurant. After 15 mins of sitting we got up and...walked out. No one came over to us. We made eye contact several times with the wait staff who was chatting it up with the bartender and cooks. Whether or not the food is good doesn’t matter as we will not ever be going back there. In fact when we got back to our hotel we told a few people about our experience so they wouldn’t make the same mistake.More

We came in for dinner on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was busy but not overcrowded. James provided great service, no rushing yet very attentive. The charcuterie and cheese board was overflowing so an excellent value. We had the scallops and filet mignon (great job...cooking it black and blue). We will certainly be back, add this to your list when you visit Savannah.More
