I was surprised about how good the food was in this little joint next to a laundromat. I eat the falafel now once a week and it comes with an option of hot or regular. The fries have a red spice on them which is a nice touch for a little more flavor. There isn't much seating inside, but I've... More

My associates and I stopped in for lunch. For such a small corner store, the food was amazing and the owner/employees were very welcoming. I would definitely recommend for those that want some authentic middle eastern food!

Al Salaam Deli is tiny inside and it is what I would describe as a dive. My husband and I had been searching for a good Gyro in Savannah and we found it at Al Salaam. We have now eaten there several times and our lunch has been delicious every time. The food is all cooked to order and the... More

This is a go to spot for us. We love it. The curry chicken salad is incredible as are the gyros. My fiance and I usually get one of both and split them. It is the most underrated place in Savannah. The front of the restaurant is not very inviting however it is a must try for folks from Savannah... More

Maybe I'm a little spoiled having spent so much time in the ME, but I'd describe this place as ok. I got the falafel wrap, which came with fries and was overall decent. My wife got the fattoush salad which she didn't enjoy as much as some others she's had. But, for $21 (meal, salad, two drinks) it was reasonably... More

I've gone twice in a week. I love Philly Cheesesteaks. Maybe stick with the Gyros here if your crave lots of meat on a Philly. Fries are on point. This is a little spot. Well worth the visit. I can't wait to go back and try some other dishes .

The place itself is a bit of a dive but the food is consistently excellent. The baba ghanouj (roasted eggplant dip) is wonderfully smoky. Highly recommended!

Neighborhood Middle Eastern restaurant (mini Middle Eastern grocery items available too) with fresh, delicious menu. You feel like part of the family as soon as you walk in. The hummus was made when we ordered. Smooth, super-fresh and the best we have ever eaten. The flavors jump out at you. AND served on fresh warm pita bread. Oh, my! My... More

I'm from Michigan and am very familiar with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. Al Salaam serves tasty, fresh, non greasy authentic cuisine in a fun, quirky environment. On separate occasions, I've eaten the lamb gyros and the lamb gyro delight plate and both were excellent. The baba ghanoush is awesome! This is my new go to place for wholesome meals... More

Our daughter who goes to school in Savannah introduced us to this small Middle Eastern neighborhood restaurant (and take-out). Everything is home-made and the hummus is one of the best we have ever had. I had a gyro salad and as the other reviewers noted, the meat was tender and delicious. The falafels were delicious and the pita warm and... More
