There are no substitutions for anything on the menu. How can you be so inflexible and not allow someone who can’t tolerate some foods to trade them out for a lesser value item. Would have been nice to try the food. The waitress was friendly...and helpful.More
Our first stop on the Foodie and Pub tour, shrimp and grits were up. Great place with interesting historical use of the building. A good find when your visiting Savannah.
We ordered one plain flounder and one stuffed flounder. Both were very small and came with an equally small side. The fish were very thin and tasted extremely salty. The bar looks nice and that is the reason why we entered. It is a good...place to have a drink, but I would not recommend eating there.More
My friends and I took a girls trip to Savannah. We ended up doing a haunted pub crawl, which started here. We decided to come early and eat first. The fried pickles were delicious! We had probably the greatest server I have ever had at...a restaurant. His name is Joe. He was so friendly. He gave us suggestions on drinks and foods when asked. He was very personable and funny. He took great care of us! We will be back if we go to Savannah again!More
The food was fine but the service was awful. We were told by the hostess that we would have to wait 30 minutes and took our phone number and promised to call when the table was ready. After waiting outside for about 20 minutes we went inside. Interesting...we were seated right away. The phone call never happened. Makes me wonder if the hostess would have actually called us. Twenty minutes later we met our waitress. She didn't know the price of the drinks from the bar, so she gave us her best guess. When the food was finally served (45 minute wait) there were no napkins for silverware. We had to ask for that. Our waitress didn't come back to refill or water or drinks, We had to ask for that also. Just not a positive experience. The restroom was filthy. A big bag of garbage right next to the toilet.More
My family and I were looking for somewhere to eat on thanksgiving day, and came across this restaurant while walking around. We LOVED our experience here and our waiter Joe made it even better!! He was extremely kind and made us feel very welcomed. He...even spoke a bit of Spanish to my Hispanic family which they loved!! Overall, I definitely recommend this restaurant!More
My tastes are -pretty much - blue-collar. While we shared the Shrimp and Grits (Yum!) and the Cracker Shrimp, the OUTSTANDING selection was the Garlic Chablis Mussels. I hardly ever steal from my wife when she orders anything mussel-related, one taste and I was sold....I'm still salivating! Great local ale to complement the food too. BTW: Probably the best value for our entire visit!More
Highly recommend this place! Named after a Revolutionary era hero, Peter Tondee, you cannot go wrong with this fine pub.
This place is fantastic! We visited Tondee's on our first night in Savannah because our haunted tour was starting here, and we ended up coming back for dinner another night as well. The shrimp trio was amazing and the Savannah Mule was great as well....The service was great and location was within close proximity to everything! Highly recommend!More
