I waited and hour and 20 minutes to be served a hotdog on a biscuit. While a hotdog may technically be a sausage, this is a fat cry from what was expected. It’s disgraceful to serve three other tables that sat down after you (parties...of 4-6) vs a party of 2, and have all of them eat and leave before being served whatsoever.More
We loved it! Although I am a vegetarian and didn't have as many options as a non-vegetarian, I loved the veggie omelet with the french toast "that doesn't need syrup". My husband had the wild salmon breakfast plate and raved and raved about it. You...can't get breakfasts this good in Connecticut. It just doesn't exist.More
This was the best breakfast of our trip, maybe best breakfast ever. We had to wait a long time for a seat and also for the food but we did go on a busy Saturday morning. But the wait was well worth it. We ordered...the crab omelette, shrimp and grits and the french toast. The crab omelette was one of the best things i have ever eaten, my boyfriend also agreed. And i am not usually a fan of french toast but this one was amazing. It was so good we didnt even use syrup. The place itself is nothing fancy. But once you get your food it wont matter. If you dont want a long wait go early. But this place is a definite must try. The next time we are in Savannah this will be the first place we stop.More
This is great local food for breakfast! Incredibly good. We felt that we got authentic local food. This is not a tourist oriented place but a greasy spoon sort of local eats.
The food here was absolutely delicious! On recommendation of another review I had the crab stew with grits, eggs and toast. Can’t go wrong here. I only tasted grits once in the past and didn’t like them but decided to try again. They were delicious!...The toast was buttered and cooked on the griddle. Yummy! The restaurant is very busy and does a huge takeout business, but the cooks have everything down to a science and we really didn’t have a long wait to be seated. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to visit Savannah again. I know where I’ll be going for breakfast!More
Stopped in for breakfast. I had the crab stew with grits. This was one of the best breakfast's of my life! Wish I lived here so I could eat here often.
Please don’t think you’ve had an authentic southern breakfast until you’ve gone here! It is as southern soul breakfast as it gets! Out of this world good food, great service, excellent prices.
Down home and personal...just people serving people amazing, homemade food. Don’t miss this restaurant!
Very cool hole in the wall, away from the tourist trail. Super friendly owner. Good prices and hearty portions. The crab stew over grits is truly delicious and a nice variation on breakfast. Biscuits are fluffy and fresh. I would have given 5 stars but...I didn’t like the gravy—-too salty or something. I’d go back in a heartbeat. No wait at 8am on a Thursday.More
