The meal had a wonderful cadence thanks to Shelby. She made us feel welcomed and made excellent recommendations for our meal. The food was fantastic - fresh seafood, the pork was cooked perfectly. The whole menu is creative and approachable. Loved the cocktails too!

We were visiting from Ireland and having heard that Savannah is a city with a proud tradition of great food we spent some time researching where to eat during our short stay. Husk seemed to appear in many of the top rated lists and was...the only one with availability left for dinner when we booked a couple of weeks in advance. The highlight of the evening was the waitress who was charming, attentive and seemed very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was edible but not refined, exciting or memorable. It was over-salted and stodgy rather than providing the delicious fresh flavors we were anticipating. There were three of us and we all chose different things from the menu. It is expensive and given it's apparent reputation we were hugely disappointed. By comparison we ate the next night in a new vibrant restaurant in the Starlight district..no need to book and we ate a fabulous meal for half the price of Husk.More

I have tacitly pondered dining at Husk, ever since they opened in Savannah a few years ago. Everytime I think, maybe this week. I look at their menu and remember how limited the selections are. And opt to go elsewhere. Well, friends were visiting and...wanted to try it so no more excuses. I have to say on the whole, the food was truly great, with a few exceptions (Charcuterie plate was a huge disappointment, one item seemed like fried bologna??). The portions are small, but as part of an overall dining experience including Firsts, Salad and a main it was enough. Steak was excellent as was the five spice pork (super moist), and the fish dish. In my opinion that's the hard part of a great restaurant. I'd say they delivered on that front. Where they fell down significantly was on the service end. And it was not any one person that failed. So, I'd say management has an opportunity to revisit how their staff interacts w/ customers. Our disappointing experience began at the bar. The two bartenders were not rude, or dismissive. They went through the motions and delivered drinks. Just not friendly or interested in their work imo. When my wife asked for some suggestions based on the flavor profile she shared with the one bartender, her response was pretty lackluster. And decided not very helpful. The other bartender was not much more engaging. And they were not all that busy. It took a few requests to get our second round delivered to us. Onto our waiter. Nice enough guy. But the attention from him was very spotty. Took a long time to get appetizers, then we were missing one that we had ordered. Took a fair amount of time to get drink rounds. This partially because our waiter went MIA for a fair amount of time. It took me having a discussion w/ the manager to find our waiter and step up the level of service. For our inconvenience he brought us a salad on the house. OK. A salad. But better then nothing. All in all. This restaurant did not rise to the level I would expect from a fine dining establishment. Would not return. Too many other options to explore.More

Even though we had 5pm reservations we chose to sit at the large u shaped bar in order to take advantage of the $2 oyster happy hour. The oysters were from the east coast and were plump and delicious. Our bartender/ waiter was very attentive...and knowledgeable about every item on the menu. We started with the crab salad, then bbq cobia and the rib eye steak. For dessert we ordered the pistachio entremet which had layers of marshmallow, ice cream, chocolate and topped with pistachios and citrus. Everything was delicious and I can’t wait to go back!More

Finally found the local oyster restaurant. They were from Georgia and the Carolinas. Clear, not too salty and fresh and fatty. The Virginia oysters were good but slightly chalky for my pallette. As to all the Canadian oysters we found on Savannah menus; thank you...for Supporting our oyster farmers. Bon apetitMore

Hard to get reservations at Husk unless you book quite q ways in advance, but you can walk in when they open at 5 and be seated at the bar. We had great local oysters, spicy peel-and-eat shrimp, interesting cocktails, appetizers and entrees. Husk's food...and the service lived up to its reputation.More

You'll need weeks to get a spot at this Husk... but we crashed the door when it opened at 5 and got seats at the bar. Seth was behind the bar and led us through a great night. Perfect paper planes and Aperol spritzes... in...fact a few trade secrets made them better. The menu constantly changes but we started w/ boiled shrimp with a white barbecue sauce, one of our favorites. My wife had the swordfish over a puree of benne (sesame) and green peanuts - it's like an American hummus in texture. Sea Island red peas atop it all. The fish was simply amazing - it had to have been brined because there was flavor in every tiny bit. I chose the BBQ cobia, think firm cod that holds its shape, with Roasted Garlic Miso, Puffed Rice, and Pickled Chard... mmmmmm Finished with a blueberry tart and a glass of Macvin du Jura, not overly sweet for a dessert wine. Spectacular.More

Never got to taste the food. Service was so bad at the bar. Placed food order, my wife's appetizer came out but my app never did. After several inquires about my app with no results we canceled our food order and left the restaurant. Very...disappointed, would NOT recommend Husk in Savannah.More

This food is spectacular, not one I can afford on a regular basis, but quality is what you get! The venue, ambience is beautiful. Great service frosting on the cake! Highly recommend for a great meal out, a taste of Savannah.

I loved the environment at HUSK and my server was great! I came for Sunday brunch and he kindly asked the chef to substitute a salad for the scrambles eggs that came with the fried chicken plate. My meal was mediocre at best .The brussels...sprouts were tough and chewy and the flavor of the chicken was ok. I do not have a desire to hurry back any time soon.More

We had reservations for 7:00. It was nearly 8 before our table was ready. Our server was fairly attentive. The biscuits with sorghum butter were delicious. My grilled baby lettuces with strawberries and blue cheese lacked flavor. I didn't detect any dressing whatsoever (nor did...four others at our table who also ordered it). My duck was over-spiced while others said that their's had no seasoning whatsoever. My husband had one glass of wine and I drank water. Neither of us had dessert or an appetizer. We both had a salad and a main course. Including tip, our bill came to $190.More

We enjoyed our meal here but the service was slow and disappointing. We understand most places are understaffed at this time. Pricey for the menu. We will give it another try on our next trip.

Lovely service, very knowledgeable. All the staff seemed to be briefed on the allergy situation, super professional! Shrimps were fresh, great cocktails, and the most amazing biscuits! Don’t miss out on them! Would certainly return for another visit.

Perhaps it was a Monday thing. Not nearly as good as it should have been. Lovely venue. Service was ok - he showed up! Cobia would have been tasteless without the very pedestrian BBQ rub. Biscuits were overdone and dry. We wanted a small sweet...and ordered the cookies. Received two huge, very dry, cake-like blobs. Almost funny, almost.More
