Excellent service and breakfast. Host was very attentive with customers. Family oriented restaurant. The food came out quickly. Based in my experience. Recommend this place for breakfast.

First and last time here. Recommended by a local and would not recommend the place. My wife and I showed up and we’re told a 15 minute wait. After 30 minutes went to inquire about our table and they didn’t realize there were tables available...and seated us. Sat there for 15 minutes before drink order was taken while several wait staff walked past us noticing we did have drinks. One waiter (Vinnie) stood next to our table talking the whole time and was talking about his personal life to another couple. Finally a waitress took our order which took a while to bring food. Potatoes were not cooked and you couldn’t even cut them with a knife. Not a good experience and ended up from start to finish of 1.5 hours for a simple breakfast. On a positive note, waitress did comp my Bloody Mary as a token of her apology for a bad experience.More
We come here each year as we travel to Hilton Head. We always love this place. Not today…today was the single worst restaurant experience you could imagine. We sat promptly and had our normal expectations. We ordered and all seemed to be going well. As...the food began to be delivered a kid (not our waiter) abruptly and without apology said those who ordered biscuits and gravy would have to order something else because they were out of gravy. Ok no worries. It happens. It would have been nice to know that before everyone else got their food. So we reordered three meals. The meals that came were terrible. So we waited and waited and waited. Our waiter (Michael) was the only bright spot of this journey. He tried to get the kitchen staff to move on our order. The kitchen staff got in his face and tried to actually fight him. The manager (and I say that loosely) Kelsey was a disaster. She told the manager that she refused to come out to our table and discuss. After one hour (of everyone else getting their food) still nothing. We got up and demanded to see the manager. She finally came out. No apology. No explanation. Just stood there looking at us. So we never got three meals, one meal was horrific, two meals were sub par. They had no breakfast potato’s, no gravy, and most coffee drinks were unable to be made. This place has always been spot on. Something has happened. I surmise it’s Kelsey. She was a complete joke and could not explain why we never got our food. She made no effort to make it right. Our server, Michael was amazing and was almost in tears over his treatment from the kitchen, the manager and more. I have never written a review but I was appalled. Absolutely shocking experience.More
Nice historic building so we gave it a try. We split an omelette and we asked if we could substitute grits for a biscuit. Server never suggested anything else or explained the charges. My Wife has a small appetite. Menu said (1) biscuit came with...meal. Our meal came with (3) giant biscuits, (about double the size of a normal biscuit) and we only finished one. Omelette was fine. Coffee and juice were fine. They added a plate charge and biscuit charge, making the bill over $50.00. Normally would have argued about it, but we were on vacation. ( I gave the Server a normal Tip btw, as I am not sure if it was her fault or some bad training?) Our other dining experiences in Savannah were fine, so I think this was worth mentioning. Last thing I saw was a bird eating a giant biscuit on an awning outside, so maybe we helped feed the wildlife?More
The Breakfast is delicious but it’s a little pricey. I had the regular eggs Benedict and my wife had the crab cakes Benedict.
As others have noted, this place is beyond reproach. When we put our names in, we witnessed some sort of drama between the host and a couple of servers, and that should have been an indicator of what was to come. But no, we decided...to wait. Even that wouldn’t have been an issue if we had just been seated and received good service. First, our sweaty, bearded server squats in the fireplace next to us and proceeds to tell us all about the injuries he has sustained in the kitchen. He points out cuts and burns on his hands and face. Look dude, we just want to order breakfast! Anyway, he finally takes our order. Forty minutes later, we still don’t have our food. But we are witnessing various other issues between the waitstaff. It’s clear something is afoot at the Two Cracked Eggs Café. But you know what, we could have even forgiven all of that if our food was good. Those giant biscuits could have warmed our thoughts. But no, they were cold when they came out. As were the entrees, and indeed, our hearts and minds, after dealing with such an atrocious atmosphere and level of service. Oh, and guess what?! They charge a 4% surcharge on credit cards on already exorbitant breakfast prices. Do yourself a favor and go to literally ANY other restaurant.More
The service here us beyond disrespectful. I don't even know where to begin!!! The cook walks out after arguing with staff only to come back an hour later. 2 different tables come in after us get their food and leaves. Another table finally had enough...and walked out. They told us they was waiting on shrimp from another location so the whole tank had to wait for our food. They allow dogs in the restaurant so ignore people with allergies. The wait staff and kitchen staff constantly arguing. One bathroom with no sign!!! Not on my to go back list ever.More
The place was highly recommended by a delightful young lady at the Webbs Military Museum, and so I thought I would give it a try. I was terribly disappointed. I waited at least 30 minutes for a table while the staff wandered around trying to...look busy but accomplishing nothing. I was not alone in the wait either. There were three or four other parties waiting too. The girl up front taking payments from customers was either incompetent or just amazingly slow. I stood right there the whole time waiting. There were tables available upstairs and down, yet nobody was able to get anyone seated. I finally said if you can't seat me then I'm leaving. She escorted me to a dirty table and said to wait and they would get it cleaned. I ordered eggs Benedict which took almost 15 minutes to get. The food was okay, but about what I can get at Denny's or IHOP in a fraction of the time and cost. I decided to hit the restroom before I left. It didn't affect me, but there was no toilet paper for the ladies, since it was a shared single restroom. Some ladies started complaining about it as they were grabbing paper towels off the table to use as a substitute. Fortunately for the ladies, one of the blonde haired waitresses got discussed and ran somewhere and got a roll. My waiter seemed to disappear (he wasn't very good anyway) so I had to get another waitress to grab me an iced tea to go (because I couldn't get a refill). They didn't have any cold cups left and so she brought it in a large coffee cup. By then, after being there for over an hour, I decided to just leave cash so I could get out of there. It took between 5-10 minutes for the cashier to show up so I could hand her the bill and cash and get out of there. That was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. I would never recommend that place to anyone.More
We arrived at 10:40AM on a Monday. Us and another couple agreed to sit outside in order to be seated sooner. We were told Isaac was going to be our server. Isaac never showed. The adjacent couple who were seated at the same time got...their coffee and food before I left the table to ask if Isaac had showed up for work? The host/manager was concerned and said he would be right out. Once we ordered it again took forever just for our iced coffee, cappuccino and Bloody Mary and once Isaac came back to check on us 20 mins later he seemed shocked our food had not arrived. We finally got our meal which was Peach French toast with side of bacon, breakfast sandwich with side of bacon and cheesy grits. The food did not make up for the service. The grits were bland and breakfast sandwich had no flavor. We ask for a water and it seems that it was forgotten and we had to again ask for it and our bill. In total it was 2 hours from start to finish. The only note worthy food was the cappuccino and the French toast. When we complained to the host we were told that Issac’s father owned the restaurant and pulls him away often to do other things which is a shame since most reviews state that the service is a problem. We would not recommend or return.More
Omg do not go here! Service was the worst ever. Those girls had an attitude. That area has changed so much as far as service and respect for the customer. They ignore you. For two biscuits an order of bacon and sausage and a coffee...and coke was $29.00. It took 15 minutes and a trip to hostess station to get noticed. Management must of changed over the past two years. That staff is disrespectful.More
The food was wonderful. The have a jam that is worth taking a jar home. The staff was wonderful. Will definitely visit again when back in the area.
Skip this spot, there is better food to be found. Went here for a late breakfast, or early lunch. They seemed to be out of a few things. It wasn't crowded but still service took awhile. The grits were bland. The eggs in my sandwich...had shells in them. Not worth a try.More
Walked in and my wife and I immediately felt like we were a bother to the staff. The waitress and hostess both looked confused as to why we were there. They asked one of the staff who was on a break to move from a...table so we could sit there. Once we sat down, one glance at the menu prices made our decision for us. We left immediately and will never be back.More
Just plain nasty. I swear the meat used in the omelet had been dropped on the floor because it was coated in grit (not grits but grit). There's really nothing else to say here - everything was bad.
We decided to try this restaurant for breakfast on our way leaving Savannah and the choices were plenty - something for everyone. I had the peach French toast and highly recommend it! Prices were a touch high but food was plenty and delicious. Our only...disappointment was that the cappuccino machine was broken. Would definitely eat here again, if we ever return to the area. Our other restaurant experiences in Savannah on this trip were subpar so at least we left on a brighter note.More
