Having been in the restaurant business for over 30 years, I am particularly sensitive to how important online reviews are and have never bashed a restaurant. I had been wanting to go to this restaurant due to the good reviews and my love of ethnic foods. This experience was a disaster. We actually discussed just walking out after 10 minutes... More

We were here a few years ago and it was still a good meal, but I feel it was not as good as before. They first serve nachos and dip . We all ordered the chicken with cream, which was very tasty but I felt that the chicken was not of the highest quality and there was less of it... More

I love this place for Papusas. The sauces that come with it are awesome . They recently renovated and the decor is interesting. Great place for a late night snack

So I've eaten at this restaurant several times since my favorite food is probably Hispanic food. Being a part of an El Salvadoran/Columbian family for 3 years I know authentic when I see it & this place is it! This restaurant is a mix of Columbian & El Salvadoran food. The atmosphere is laid back reminiscent of a typical Spanish... More

We went here for lunch before we saw a performance at Vagabonds. Service was quite good. We each had the pollo con crema (chicken with rice). There was so much chicken that we had to take half of it home. First we were served very good (not tos salty) nachos with dip. The chicken was served in a delicious cream... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore. Food is excellent and affordable. I love the pupusas, plantains, and tacos de barbacoa. To clarify, this is not a Mexican restaurant, and the picture in this review is not of the restaurant. They have renovated the place in the last few years, and it's quite spacious. Great for larger groups... More

Though the neigborhood may be a bit questionable, this is a great place to eat Salvadorian or Mexican food. We were greeted by the manager and had a musician playing Sunday for lunch. The place was very clean and the menu came with pictures of dishes as well as names in Spanish and English. We had the recommended pollo con... More

A real find in Fells Point. Varied and interesting menu. Especially shrimp with gaelic and polla noranja. Large portions. Fast service. Many desserts. Great hot chocolate. Everyone at the table was pleased.

El Salvador is one of a number of good Latino restaurants within a few blocks in the Fells Point area. I have been here a number of times and the food is always good. The atmosphere has a genuine feel of a Central American comedor, casual and not overly decorated, We have used the restaurant for catering and for group... More
