The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect, and the staff was amazing. We appreciate the quality of the food and the farm to table freshness. The burrata was the creamy and delicious with some extra good olive oil. The Linguini a la scoglio was...full of fresh seafood…delicious. The prices were very reasonable. We would definitely come back.More

We were in a rather unique bind. Our reunion party venue canceled and we were left high and dry. We called the restaurant several times with the changing situation and eventually arrived to find great accommodations, great food and service. Sure they weren’t super busy...on a rainy Friday night, but they saved the evening. The attendees enjoyed the meal and the complimentary limoncello. GrazieMore

Great lunch at La Tavola. We felt the food choices were extensive. Both the vegetarians in our group and the meat eaters were easily accommodated. The service was excellent and the atmosphere elegant. With my gluten free limitations Italian restaurants aren't always the best choice...for me. The chef's homemade gluten free pasta was the best I've eaten anywhere. The waiter conveyed my compliments and the chef came out to meet us. Very nice!More

Even making the reservation for 5 was a delight. Friendly and respectful. Then to be welcomed, shown a table to accommodate our needs was refreshing. The competent and delightful waiter explained the night's specials. The pasta, the fish, the veal dishes lived up to their...descriptions. Down to the desert and coffee! We were not rushed and enjoyed the experience as well as the food. It has been a long time since we've eaten out. Bravo!More

I heard much about La Tavola, so on a recent trip to Baltimore, it was the first restaurant we tried. The three of us got a variety of dishes, and we only truly loved the cheesecake for dessert. I tried the special, clams and calamari...with squid ink noodles. The noodles were overcooked, and while the calamari was terrific, the dish was muddled in a sauce that was uninspired. My wife's veal was overcooked, and the bread, which should be a staple in an Italian restaurant, was dry. I loved the service and the atmosphere. Just wish the food was better.More

This restaurant in Baltimore’s Little Italy neighborhood has wonderful gluten free Italian food. Eating here is like dining with family. I never tire of eating here. The chef is very accommodating. When the kitchen is not very busy, he will make fritto misto (fried calamari)...gluten free! This is the only restaurant I know - in the entire DC/Baltimore area - that offers gluten free fried calamari. They also have home made gluten free pasta (strofe). I attach a few photos. Strofe is a thin and small pasta, about an inch long. Almost all the pasta dishes are gluten free when you use the gluten free strofe. In addition to the regular menu there are always daily specials. Right now, because it is near Valentine’s, they are offering a heart shaped gluten free dessert the chef calls “love”. I attach a photo. It is a heart shaped cookie with mascarpone cheese. All I care about is that it tasted great! They recently refreshed their wine list to feature wonderful Italian wines. The chef also has the ability to procure incredibly fresh vegetables and fruits all year round. He has a commercial fisherman’s license so in the summer he goes fishing in the morning and then serves the fish he caught that day at the restaurant. It's really hard to find fish that are more fresh. I should mention they do not have a dedicated gluten free kitchen. But I eat here frequently and I can happily say I have never gotten sick. The food is always great. The service is consistently good. I highly recommend this restaurant.More

Delicious options off of their restaurant week menu! They also had a special cocktail, named "Kentucky Chai". Concocted with a housemade syrup, this drink resembled a Chai Old Fashion. Would love to see it as a staple on their menu.

Our party of six enjoyed lunch here on Christmas Eve, tucked nicely in a corner table. Around the table: Calamari Fritti, light and crispy; Lasagna, fresh pasta and Béchamel, as it should be; Trenette al Pesto, also housemade and perfectly sauced; the Squid Ink pasta...special, balanced and flavorful; and a Seafood Pasta special that had me sneaking my fork over to my husband's plate for nibbles. Whenever there are too many delicious items on an Italian menu I ask for Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, pasta with garlic and olive oil, even if it is not on the menu. This dish, to me, is a hallmark that when prepared properly, is luscious in its simplicity. La Tavola did not disappoint. With our lunch we enjoyed a Chianti that played well with every dish. Everything about this lunch was lovely. We'll definitely return.More
