I had to go to Johns Hopkins for some tests. I saw a Greek food truck outside the hospital and it got me craving a Gyro, but it was too cold to stand outside and wait for them so I googled Gyro Baltimore and saw that Dino's was just like 1 block north of the hospital. I called in the order for pickup and it was ready in about 10 minutes. I also saw the dessert case and everything looked pretty good so I got a banana pudding. GYRO: I noticed when I was paying, behind the counter on the cook line they had the big chunk of meat rotating on the heater- very traditional. Many sites use the thin pre-sliced frozen portions which tend to dry out too. At Dino's they slice of off that chunk so you get nice thick meaty chunks and slices. And the taste of the meat itself is amazing, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and perfect in general. Loaded with onions lettuce tomato and the best Tzatziki sauce I've ever had. It had perfect flavor with thin slices of cucumber in the sauce. Pita was lightly grilled, not too thick, just perfect. SUMMARY- BEST GYRO EVER. Pudding rocked also. My only only only regret: it's a 45 min drive from my house. Probably a good thing as I would be there too often. Cannot wait to go back.

If you're in Baltimore and looking to get a completely delicious steak sub and fries, this is the place to go!! With bread nicely toasted and chock full of meat and toppings, you WILL leave satisfied. Reasonably priced and just a short walk/drive from Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Few patrons take advantage of the ample seating at Dino's, but prefer take out. I enjoyed my Maryland crab soup while waiting for my lamb gyro. Service was efficient. The soup had plenty if crab, and the gyro was full of tasty meat. The fries were perfect. The patronage was high, and most seemed at home like regulars. A good, inexpensive lunch choice.

My son is currently in the Children’s Hospital recovering from surgery. At lunch time a wanted to get out of the Hospital and have a good meal. A security guard at the hospital suggested this place. I walked up to it and went inside. I found a BPD Sgt. eating his lunch. This is usually a good sign. I ordered the gyro with fries and Greek salad to go. A BFD crew came in behind me and ordered. My food came in a timely manner and I was out the door. The food was good and the portions were large. I will eat here again.

I was stuck at Johns Hopkins for a visit. It was late and wet. I hopped in my car and pulled into Dino’s lot. I have worked in Bed Sty, Camden, North Philly, Jersey City, 13th Avenue Newark and a host of other depressed blocks and cities. Long term street guys like me know the difference between a” dangerous ghetto hood” and a” hood”. Dino’s is in a” hood”. Pull into his lot, walk in and pick up your takeout. While the cast of characters you see on the street look menacing, they are just your typical hoodies. I placed a $45.00 order of take out, from Gyro’s to Chicken Salad, to fish sandwiches .All good .If I had gone to the local diner 5 miles away I would of paid 80 for this meal with the tip. I went back to my hotel room and enjoyed a terrific tasty fresh meal with my buds who all saluted Dino. When you go in look for the man who has a look on his face like he hates humanity, but his food is terrific and you are not there on a United Nations good will trip. When I spoke to him in Greek he actually smiled. Dino run a CLEAN well organized food machine. Go, pick up, head to your hotel and relax with some good chow. I think he likes me as he waved goodbye shouting come back soon Melaka. Whoever Melaka is?

I found this place on Grub Hub. The food was reasonable, hot, and fast. They delivered to our hotel. The delivery guy was polite and friendly.

Having my son on Johns Hopkins, with very little chose of where to eat , we ventured out 1 block from front door. Seen Dino's driving in a few days so my son become stable and we took a walk to get fresh air and ends at Dino's. Price we high for us, but we are use to small town eateries. Chose Gyro and fish sandwich, gyro was best I have had in long time, hot pita, moist meat and fresh toppings. Wife had fish sandwich plain. She just wish it was hotter. Will be going back as the place was clean and the people were pleasant. Give it a shot if at Johns Hopkins. PS lot of hospital workers were going in and out that says a lot.

Located near Johns Hopkins Hospital and the unkept side of Baltimore this little oasis in a very dirty part of town is just that. I opted for the quick and clean "Cheese Burger Sandwich" and it came to only $6.10. So dining on a budget here is possible here. The interior was dusty and dark. Not a place to relax and enjoy a meal but rather to inhale it or get it and run.

We went here for lunch as a send off for a friend and I will say I was a bit disappointed with the food and sevice. I ordered a gyro was possibly the I have ever eaten. No taste what so ever and the lamb was not shave but was in meat chunks. We waited a long time for our food and I watched other orders come and go. Maybe this was a fluke but I am hard pressed to return.

Located close to Johns Hopkins. Needed a quick bite so I ordered the chicken parm sub to go. It was very good. It was the only thing I had but if I am in the area again would certainly stop here for a quick take out.

The cheese steak was very good but the bun was soggy, wish the roll was toasted. French fries w gravy - fries had no salt on them, gravy was like tan in color, bland, no salt, the worst gravy ever. Fettuccini alfredo w chicken has mushy noodles and tasteless alfredo sauce, definitely needed salt, garlic, pepper, and parmesan cheese. Chef salad was great. Coconut cake was good.

I'm from NY, and this was the real deal. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but go on in. Chicken salad was excellent, and it was real NY rye bread. 2 blocks from Johns Hopkins
