Every time I come to Baltimore, I go to Chaps Pit Beef. Their meats are awesome! It's a hole in the wall kind of place but the food is amazing. I get the Triple D (beef, pulled pork and sausage) sandwich named after the Food Network show. Their fries are fresh cut and delicious. They get a line around lunchtime... More

A friend introduced me to Chaps pit beef about 4 years ago and I haven't gone anywhere else since! Everything is super fresh and employee's are always very friendly.

We were in Baltimore, looking for a restaurant to eat. A friend recommended this place, we drove there, thought we were lost even with GPS because we ended up in the parking lot of a gentlemen club. Then we saw this sign "Chaps pit beef" at the corner, decided to give it a try. Didn't know what to order, we... More

This was another place we've tried from the many we've seen on Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives. This one was finally the one we agree had food that was worth the drive. The meats are so soft you can cut them with a fork (just not the plastic ones you get here). The pit beef was without salt, but not without... More

Stopped to try the famous pit beef sandwich on the drive into Baltimore. We were one of the first customers of the day and a long line formed very quickly. Tasty pit beef sandwich on a potato roll. Woman at the counter was very friendly and made sure we ordered the best stuff.

I saw this place on Triple D and since I was going to Baltimore to see my son, who attends Loyola, I thought "why not". I had the beef sandwich. The meat just melted in my mouth. I hardly had to chew. The potato salad was first rate. My son had the fries & gravy. So good!! Don't let its... More

Also known as Chaps Pit Beef, I saw this restaurant on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. And this place definitely looks like a dive.It was recommended to Guy Fieri by Charm City Cakes Chef Duff Goldman. It may be a dive but the meat was dive ine. I had the triple D combo of Pit Beef, Corned beef and Sausage... More

Food is some of the best in Baltimore as far as smoked foods go. It has been on a lot of food network shows and is a must eat at in Baltimore. I believe Anthony Bourdain stopped here during his Mid Atlantic episode. Do be aware it is a "hole in wall" and is located in a semi dodgy area.... More

Didn't stay here so I can't say anything about the food but the location is awful. It's a hole in the wall restaurant located in the parking lot of a strip club.

When you walk into a place and you see a bunch of locals there, you know you hit the right spot! Chaps is a small place located in the parking lot of a strip joint in Baltimore, so go during the day. It's going to be packed so be prepared to get up close and personal with the other diners.... More
